I installed today the Pipercross one. Didn't have the chance to drive much so can't say any noticeable differences so far but yet again I wasn't expecting much performance wise from an air filter.
Maybe a bit more of engine/turbo noise.

Ive been running this kit on my car for a month or so doing R&D. As @GazmaN said these guys copped loads of backlash etc due to prices N not being a Forged Itg branded co but the owner spends so many hours at the business away from family etc. That time away you can’t put a cost/value on. Ppl said he/they were ripping ppl off N that we could all do these in our own home garages over a long wkend. We had a double long wkend but come tues no new kits from this guy or anyone else so I guess it’s not so easy. It’s not just bout the cost of materials but rent on the business plus bills etc and the time spent doing these things. They can’t make or keep everyone happy but they are doing their best to try so a big thumbs up to Impossible Fab.

I’m looking into getting a full induction kit for my i30N. The two that look the most promising are the forge and Pipercross ones. I’ve seen a lot of discussion about just the Pipercross filter but not the full induction kit. Has anybody got either, and what are the pros and cons of both if any?

What is the general consensus on the oiled pipercross air filter , is it gonna ruin a sensor or impact engine performance?

That’s a good one. Pipercross UK says it’s not going to negatively impact anything, pipercross in Germany says the oiled one will screw up your air mass sensors and reference to research done by Bosch.

So does that mean that the oiled filter can't screw anything up then or are there still problems even if there isn't a Mass Air Sensor?

No, MAF on the 2.0T Theta II engine. Yes, MAP (Manifold Absolute Sensor). No, you can't with either.

Pipercross in Germany and Bosch want you to believe an oiled filter like their competitors; K & N and others are inferior. It's just one-up-man-ship or misleading information. Such a claims have no basis of fact.

I know SXTH Element engineering are working on an enclosed intake and filter system that looks promising. It has a plexi top airbox standard with an optional carbon fiber top.

Waiting to see some testing and reviews on it but this seems worth waiting for when compared to the currently available options as it seems likely it will have reduced IAT's in comparison. Side note the have also released some CAD drawings of a pretty sexy looking FMIC to go with it.

Edit: linked below is the 1.6T veloster system they have for reference only. In talking with them/facebook/instagram posts it seems the VN one will be of similar design.

This is just one of the problems, utilizing customer test cars. "Availability!" Sooner or later they're going to have to start purchasing the development models. They can be sold later, to recoup development and actual vehicle cost.

They also have a liability issue, when utilizing customer test cars. They've been in business about a year and a half, commercially, So, there's not much past history with them. We'll see what transpires over the next year or so.;)
