It looks like HG motorsport is the manufacturer. I will ask there for a price and more info.
But it is a foam filter. These are know for there very good flow but low filtration...
Take this comparison from very popular filters for example:
Could be foam filters have evolved over time but i would use it with caution.

Okay just thought I'd make a dedicated thread to the Pipercross air filter so everyone can share their thoughts and reviews about it.
Apparently if you pre-order now they should be shipped with a week or so, who has ordered one?
This is being released ahead of their full induction kit which won't be available for a few more months whilst its still being developed.

Hahah, added that for you, it will be one of the easiest mods to do to the car with possibly a couple extra Bhp, extra responsiveness, a bit more induction noise and possible better mpg
An air filter usually only brings benefits if you have made other changes to the car. I really like the stock air filter to be honest. The question is, how well does he filter the air? This has often been a problem with open air filtration systems, as dust and debris get into the intake.
Should still see some marginal gains as its less restrictive. It should filter the air similar to the stock filter, its not an open air system it just replaces the original filter, the lid is just off the air box in the picture to show off the filter

Padigree... I totally agree with you... A little more induction noise and that's about it... There is nothing wrong with the standard filter.

I know that it's just a replacement filter, I meant that you could have the same problems with a bad filter like you can get with an open system. I think the stock filter is only destrictive with some more needed air like for a stage 1. If you make something like @TarmoT it's a good idea. But there are a few more things done, and I think there will be a few more things done in future.

Sorry I understand what you mean now. Pipercross are bringing out a full intake systems which will have good gains and have said on their instagram that if you buy this replacement filter they will discount the full induction kit when its out. Someone on facebook who's tested the filter said that you can slightly notice a difference with the new filter.I know that's just a replacement,

When my mother gets in my 205 with throttlebodies and open filters she thinks it's a rocketship.
What I mean is: people think it's faster because it makes more noise.
The opposite is often the case because more hot air is sucked in by a faulty position of the filter (not in this case, as it is in the same box).
I've had a few cars on the rollers with different changes and upgrades, and only a different filter doesn't get you much extra (often it has a negative effect)...

Yes most likely, the person did report quicker turbo spooling which does make sense, think he did mention he was getting it on a dyno sometime soon so can see if there is actually a difference there

That’s great news! Is that in writing anywhere? I bought mine through the performance co. Hopefully they honner that when it comes to it
