WLTP hasn’t got much in common with real life measurements, so I’d wait for user’s reports on this.
you have to remember that the overall rating is changed slightly, at least changed respectivly to 2017

Additionally to all the other stuff they've done, it looks like they're continuing to pull all marketing "tricks" to sell the DCT:
Makes it look like the DCT was measured with lauch control and the MT without. I'm wondering if that is to make it look "faster".
Really glad I've ordered mine, the improvements will be well worth it, the power curve looks much much better
How would a manual be anywhere near a DSG or DCT in 0-60 with changing gear twice. Its the same speed advantage Veloster DCT has over Veloster manual. About 0,5s (even often more like 0,6/0,7). The interesting stuff will be 100-200. But i doubt we will see the manual sub 14 secs stock.
But it might be a long time until we will know. We ordered 5 Manuals and none of them will arrive before November :x
I've banged on enough about the lack of involvement of a dct gearbox so leaving that aside... Real world 0.5 of a second is surely negligible unless on a drag strip. Just my personal opinion.

You're probably right. (I don't have any first or second hand experience comparing DCTs/MTs with a skilled driver, so no clue what a normal difference between DCT/MT is.) It's weird it's displayed like that. In general I'm wondering how those figures are determined, because for a lot of cars the real world numbers vary greatly from the manufacturer numbers. (Maybe there's nothing specified, just needs to be reproducable?)
Let's be honest. Real-world scenario: you are flooring it when the traffic light turns green and hope you are faster than the car next to you. Was that 5.4s or 5.9s 0-100? No one really cares because there are too many factors that affect the end result.

Then you see the flashing lights behind you, and your friendly member of your local law enforcement is handing you a ticket whilst your car is loaded onto a flatbed truck being impounded for 60 days!
Yes, in certain states within Australia we have "hoon" law's, granting the Police the power to impound the car you are driving for a period of time if you have been doing "stupid" stuff" on the roads... So don't give the keys to your 19 year old son, or your friends!
