There is heat shielding for the Airbox also

This is the same shielding they utilize for the Turbos. :)

I saw few movies on youtube and there is one weird thing about wrapping intake with gold thermal tapes - no one is wrapping the rubber connectors of the intake - only metal pipes - why ?

I know that the rubber is isolating but I should leave it just like that ?
This is a big part of the intake in my case.
For example - here is the picture:

Red section should be wrapped for sure but is it worth it to wrap green part of the intake ?
Or even to the air box ?

Invest in a hand held digital temp scanner. They aren't expensive and will show you what it hotter and absorbs the heat from the engine.

The silicone will remain fairly stable, where as the aluminum tube will absorb and hold much more heat. Reflective tape will help reflect the heat but won't solve the equation. A thermal sleeve will do more to reject the heat over longer periods of driving time.

Just look at a fireman in a thermal barrier suit, compared to their normal suit. Which is going to protect them longer from direct flames? :)

I forgot about one thing - my technician told me about one small problem.
New pipe is more to the engine side compared to oem and there is point of contact with somekind of plastic (or metal) engine part.
Here is it on the picture:

They put between this part and pipe a small piece of sponge but I saw today when engine is moving - it is rubbing it. Even when engine is not running the sponge is in contact with that plastic engine part and it it compressed tight.
Should I worry about it if I think about wrapping the pipe with thermal shield ?

Ok just ordered this from UK - I think it will be best if I mean heat protection and easy of installation:

I just received cover for the pipe.
Some quick shots:

It almost fit. For sure it is too narrow but I don't want to cut it so for now it's look like that.
On the pipe from upper side it fits quite good - it's velcro fastening is about 5cm so I can expand it.
I left the velcro fastening on the right side of the pipe. On the lower side of the pipe I tried to do some kind of wall from left side of the filter box.
Tomorrow is my new date for ECU tuning and I will think about better pipe cover installing after it.

TUNING DAY STARTED !!!
If everything goes according to plan my car will be ready at the end of day.
I will have dyno pictures too - I told them that I want at least two dyno pictures - before and after ECU tuning. One before - because I want to see what my new intake gives me and then after ecu mod.
Excited like a kid 🤩

Can you in the meantime list what modifications (in terms of power, not looks) you have done?

Only whole intake and intercooler:
- pipercross filter
- forge intercooler
- hdt intakepipe
- hdt turbo inlet
- velossa tech snorkel
