N Side Skirt Stickers

I am willing to send them to you if you want them. I'd say I can get you in contact with a parts guy at hyundai here. You can arrange delivery to me and ill ship them to you at your cost.

I ship loads to Europe and Australia for guys, I just do it to help out. If you need the help pm me

Thank you so much! I will 100% take that offer, after some more information is figured out about them. @Clos-N20 was just saying in another thread (I30N vs Elantra GTN) that though both cars rockers may be the same shape, there isn't any fastening points on the GT's for side skirts.

Anyone have pictures of there I30N rockers with the skirts off???

Mine lasted less than 3 months and 1 wash. Utter crap.

Metal ones it is.

The ones I applied will stick as you have to wash the trim scrupulously then apply 3M Primer adhesive promoter first, when that dries you apply your sticker and it will stick as after 4 days it is nigh on impossible to remove. Without the 3m Primer Adhesive it will not stick that is why it came off your trim you did not use the proper procedure and it was bad of the company to sell you the sticker without explaining the proper procedure I can sell you 10ml of 3M adhesive promoter with an applicator brush for £6. You do not need to use very much the lightest amount I prefer to use a rag or cloth and rub it on by finger but then your skin will crack afterwards so use latex gloves when applying.

Do you mean these? Yeah primer really bonds them with the abs. I have them on for almost a year now and still feel like they are welded on :D

The metal ones arrived today after only ordering yesterday so once the weather is better ill apply them

Did you get a wee stick of 3m 94 adhesive promoter with the emblems as I did but then I have a full litre of the stuff as I always find it comes in very handy for sticking tape to surfaces that would not ordinarily adhere. That promoter adhesive is what bonds the tape to the plastic trim as without it the metal N logo would simply detach at some point either bolow off in the wind or just fall of while parked.

That 3M 94 Primer adhesive is very good and essential for bonding the Very High Bond tape to whatever it is you are sticking it to as it makes it permanent, well you can remove it but it takes some amount of force and you would end up either buckling your side skirt or the metal N emblem would definitely bend in the process of removing it you would really need to use a sticker liquid remover as that is what I use, H&G from Homebase is very good for this task, just let it soak in and peel it back bit by bit. I have VHB tape and is very handy indeed useful for many tasks as that is the tape that is on the N Emblem.

It takes approximately 2 to 4 weeks for the whole process to make a permanent bond.

yeah came with the adhesive promoter etc I just need it to be dry I will probably leave it till summer now tbh to stick them on

Anyone with the metal badges having trouble with them tarnishing/marring?

I'm now on my second set after having them replaced after 6 months with new ones and guess what!
Second set are going exactly the same way as the first

Its not like I live at No 1 Chernoybl Drive or anything so I'm a bit miffed to say the least. Giving up on these now and will be trying the official Hyundai rubber ones I guess.

I have the metal ones as well purchased them of a guy on e bay official Hyundai dealer got them for £27 been on the car 2 months now I have not looked at them as the car needs washed pretty badly as the car is totally filthy these better not be tarnished or I’ll be out of pocket due to the time that has passed since originally purchased as I am sure PayPal would not agree it was a fault of the product and close the case in the sellers favour. Ironic thing was the fact he showed a picture of the rubber N logo or badge and when I received them, they were metal so I sort of looked at them and wondered but just said what the hell and accepted them not knowing there were actual rubber variant of these N emblems I assumed it was just the picture as the rubber ones look richer in colour, slap me hard for being so stupid.

I will report back after and update if my N emblems tarnish. I wonder if I contact the selelr would he honour a refund if they do tarnish. Do these N emblems come with warranty.

An update the item I purchased of E Bay includes the same aprt number 9999Z057055 so this seller has sold soemthing totally different to what was advertised.

Metal is going to tarnish, you simply polish it with a metal polish. Metal will ding and scratch also, so you polish it and accept what you have to deal with. I know this is an oversimplification but it's what you have to do, to keep it looking viable.:)

There is only one problem with your theory part # 9999Z057055 is made out of rubber and should not tarnish so the seller advertised part # 9999Z057055 as being the rubber emblems and sold the metal ones instead which are inferior.

I'm talking about the metal units that loafer-N77 is referring to and has had problems with not the 3D plastic units.
Yes, so am I as they are the same ones I purchased under part number 9999Z057055 the guy even shows a picture but what I received were metal emblems. Not the same item I assumed I would receive what I need to know now does this part number 9999Z057055 refer to the metal N emblem or the rubber version before I go shouting my mouth off to the seller picture attached.N EMBLEM 9999Z057055 .JPG

Hello

They are the ones I received the metal ones or Aluminium, but the picture shows the embossed ones now I am confused as you included a link to the ones I should have purchased and these would be the same ones loafer n77 is complaining about.

I dunno if someone else could chip in with any advice would be evry much welcome to clear this issue up

I'm a mechanical design engineer so fully appreciate what metal can do, cheers.
These are obviously reacting to something and not the best quality. It would also seem a fairly unique issue to me so......back in your boxes everyone ;):p

@Who! Me. Check yours, if they are fine you've nothing to worry about but yes, I think you've received the "wrong" ones to what that listing specifies.

I had to order the plastic official ones from Germany. Look at the very first posts in this very topic. Thats what I've now ordered.
