Does anybody know if the exhaust valve is the same as used in Audis, Golf R, Focus RS etc?

If so, this company in germany offers remote control for the valve so you can choose when you want it closed.

Edit: Oops saw that i have no pic from my connector. 50minutes till break. I'll take one.

Btw @loafer-N77 if you live in a country with strict regulations, this is not allowed, as this is an intervention in the noise behavior of the vehicle. In Germany, you lose your license. (not the driving one, the one known as Betriebserlaubnis)

Hmmmm....difficult to tell from that pic. I'd imagine they are the same, once I get my car this week I can try a delete plug/terminator I have laying aroung from when I had my MK3 RS to confirm.

These are the Golf R (which are the same as Focus RS, Audi S/RS).

I'd say they match!

Please take caution! It's not because the plugs are the same that the signals and voltage are identical.

Here is the scematic of our i30N valve:

3 = GND
1 = +12V
2 = signal from ECU (can be very different from VAG)



The only way to be sure is to scope out the signal and mail it to special exhaust.de

You need to record oscillogram from oscilloscope.

Normally it should be a PWM Signal. These signals should be all the same.

The PWM system (Like ours), the static system (button for the valve or automatically open @speed X) and the system with the boost pressure (non-electric) are the only possibilities that I know.

In addition, our valve is variable, which means it can be more than "open", "closed", what's an indicator for the PWM System

Hi all picked up my I30N performance in micron grey today absolutely love it but exhaust doesn't seem to be popping as much as when I test drove an older model. I have it in N custom with everything on sport+ apart from suspension as it shakes the kidneys abit much. Any ideas ? Is there something I'm missing ?
