I agree. I drove a manual pre fl for 110k kms and ordered a fl dct without a testdrive. I expected the same car, but with an automatic.I couldn’t believe how much sharper turn in felt on the test drive, power felt a lot more punchy than the figures suggest too. I believe people have seen nearly 300bhp stock on the dyno, that was on both manual and DCT cars.
My test drive was in a manual, DCT might feel more nose heavy?
could these changes possibly explain why my handbook claims an engine oil volume of 5.2 liters, instead of 4.8?Can anyone confirm if this is true? It's the first time I hear about this..

now that is interesting! Thanks for sharing! I really wonder what causes this difference, since afaik the main "cause" for different oil quantities should be the engine's discplacement - and that evidently stayed the same from PFL to FL.I can confirm.
When my pre fl went for it´s first service I checked the dipstick and it was overfilled. The oil was well above the top mark.
On the invoice it said they had filled 5,2l. They sucked out the excess and every service afterwards they filled up 4,8l, wich was right at the top mark.
My FL dct went for it´s first service last week (10k kms in 3,5 months).
After I saw your post I checked the invoice: they filled 5,2l...
I checked the dipstick yesterday and the oil sits perfectly at the top mark.
So I must conclude that the Fl stores 0,4l more oil (bigger sump?) or they changed the max mark on the dipstick...
