2022 I30N WILL RE-HOMOLOGATE SOUND DB??
Hey N-thusiats!!!
I came across some comments in this video talking about: the possibility Hyundai will re-homologate the decibels in I30N produced from January 2022, or perhaps July.
Than means less sound (even with the OPF already installed), I don't believe it but anybody knows something about it?
If that is true, all new I30N 2022 produced in Europe will be quieter!
I bet it will still be loud enough!
I will be able to tell you by the end of next week. I will get my 22 model then..
potentially related to the exhaust valve? maybe that one has a set diameter? Totally guessing ofc^^One thing that is bugging me. I just saw the new Kona N in person, and both of the exhaust tips have the same inner diameter while the left exhaust tip on the facelift i30N is noticeably smaller. Any idea why they did that? I just cant get over it![]()
Thanks mate, Im also geting the 22 model in a couple of months,
well if something goes worng we could always do an OPF delete...![]()
The V5 for my December 2021 registered FL DCT hatch states 97 db stationery and 70 db drive-bySo I am not sure how loud the FL 2021 model is according to the documents.
According to a JP Performance video the noise of the 2021 hatch DCT is 92 dB standing noise and 71dB driving noise.
I just received the documents of my 2022 Fastback MT which I will pick up tomorrow.
The documents say it's 92 dB standing noise and 70 dB driving noise.
Guess there won't be any differences, yet.

Still haven’t got mine, I ordered it 29th July 2021.Anyone in the UK got an ETA on a Fastback?
Ordered mine mid-November and latest delivery estimate is the 4th of April, just wanted to see if that seems realistic.
