i30 N 2021 i30 N

I had the same problems in Romania with all the dealers I've asked. Some of them told me that the Performance Blue color is Metalic, others told me it's Pearlscent... and actually is just a basic color. I didn't cared too much because I've managed to negotiate with them the cost of the painting.

Dealer has got back to me and agreed the shadow grey is standard!! It arrives Monday to take for a test drive. Cant wait to see how the DCT goes, hopefully better than the VW one I had.

I test drove a DCT today. Apart from being hilariously fast, I think I much prefer the manual. While it's good for a DCT, I think I'll get bored pretty quickly. One thing I will say is I found the N Light seats to be quite uncomfortable. My arse is still numb and the bolsters dug into my right leg a bit. Spoilt the car for me sadly.
Not happy to hear the the seats are uncomfortable, as I do spend a far amount of my time driving! Well, I will have to drive it for myself and make that determination when ever Victoria comes out of lockdown and the car turns up at the dealer.

Thanks for the update!

Opposite impressions over here! I thought they were rather comfy. Surprisingly well padded, soft, and squishy. The bolstering wasn't overly aggressive either. They give you a gentle hug. Just right.

I haven't actually driven the car yet, though. Hopefully they still feel that way after a couple of hours in them.

Sat in mine pre detailing at the dealership. The seat felt a tad hard and lumpy, where the back meets the seat.
Probably will soften after newness wears off. May have to rectify with a cushion if too uncomfortable. Taking home on Tuesday 20th.

Yeah, but I'm not under forty anymore. So, being "big boned"" I might find it a tad tight...

Thanks Mate, glad to see your wait is mostly over.

I can't say I'm the slimmest guy around (especially after being consigned to five lockdowns and working from home for almost a year and a half), but it still fits me pretty well. Hopefully good for you too!

Unfortunately, COVID says "keep waiting!"

Anyone who got their car in the UK able to confirm if we get the Through Loading system? I see other countries have it but I saw a walk around of a UK car and it didn't have it. Can't think why they'd remove that for the UK Market.
Welcome to the quirky world of Hyundai options. No panoramic sunroof option in UK, no speed limiter, no speed camera warnings on the satnav. Why would you not offer these things as extras even if not standard.

Then there's the woeful lack of options for wheels, trim, etc. and lack of accessories, even down to clothing and all the other tat that every other manufacturer offers..

Hyundai could be making a killing from driving enthusiasts but don't seem to be bothered to back up their great vehicles with the other stuff that N-thusiast owners want.

Actually I actually think its ok not to have too many options otherwise you end up like VW where everything is an extra and the price shoots up when you have added all the things that should be included that Hyundai do include. I'm sure there are 3rd party companies who will provide alternatives for those who wish to spend money e.g. wheels.

I'm not a fan of panoramic roofs and at least you get free satnav updates for 5 years unlike Ford as for speed cameras they are always moving so can't rely on built in software anyway. You can always get Waze and probably have it displayed on dash.

The question isn't really about options per se, but why there are different specifications in different markets if H is trying to standardise the product. Why is it possible to offer a pano roof in Australia but not in Europe?

Guess it comes down to likely sales. We don't get that much sunshine or high temperatures in UK so less demand.

Back from our Northern road trip holiday - car went like a dream. Put a few miles on it (1376 and averaged 35.5mpg) but it took all the luggage, wife was happy and comfortable so all good. All the roads in Scotland seem to have average speed cameras but to be honest was in cruise mode most of the time anyway 😀

...no speed limiter...

WHAT?! FFS. If this is true for the FL then I'll be p'd. I don't use Cruise Control because of the amount of idiots that cause you to have slow down. I like to use limiter and just lift off if I have to slow down, much easier.

There is a O button to cancel the cruise control, arguably easier than lifting off :D

But here's the kicker: you have to select cruise control to turn it on even though there is no alternative limiter option to select on UK cars  and cruise might as well be default selected all the time.

Personally I hardly ever use actual cruise control - I just don't feel in full control of the car. Had adaptive cruise in my Cupra and didn't really trust it. My problem, I'm sure it was perfectly capable...
When I said I was in cruise mode above I meant taking it easy as opposed to hooning 😉

For me a speed limiter is handy and easier, and for a car in 2021 not to have it is odd. Even my Fiesta ST had a smart limiter which changed based on the road speed limit.
