Other Veloster N Aftermarket exhaust

I went with a ChipRussia DP and when it gets here it's being shipped off to Jet Hot for a 2500 degree coating. And when I get it I do not have to break in the ceramic coating. It's done in house at Jet Hot. For both pieces it's 380 bucks but I think it will be so worth it in the long run. So, for a new DP with a Jet Hot coating it will run you 880 bucks when all said an done, but for me personally it is the right thing to do. I honestly can't wait.

I am also thinking of buying the Ark mid pipe and sending that off for a 1300 degree coating from Jet Hot. Both pieces will cost 200 bucks for the mid pipe. Not sure on this though as I do have some Lava wrap I can use for the mid pipe. Thoughts on the Lava wrap on the mid pipe? I will not use it on the new DP, that WILL be coated; no doubt about it.

Beat regards,

-Mike

Thanks! Did Forge stop making the DP for the Veloster N. I cant seem to find it anywhere. RaceChip could be an option, but I'd like to keep the Cat.

SXTH is looking pretty tempting. I like that it comes ceramic coated. Just have a hard time dropping that much money on a DP. Lol
I'm in the same boat. Might do the Xforcw and do what Mike did and get it coated after the fact. Would work out to be about 950. I probably will wait a year or two so I'll be around 60 k miles by then plus costs should come down as the platform matures

The Xforce down pipe doesn't allow for the stock heat shielding. One reason I didn't get it... I just ordered the mid pipe from Ark. Should I wrap that thing or what? It's lava wrap, not fiberglass.

Thanks for any replies/help on deciding.

No don't warp it. It's not necessary and won't help.:)

Understand, watch for a sale or there is Chip from Russia, he might be able to make you one with a 200CEL cat for a reasonable price.:)

Custom built downpipe.

That's a good point as well. If you get a good coating should help a good bit though. I mean they have some heat shielding around the exhaust tunnel I believe. You should be fine without the wrap unless you want the extra benefit

Still waiting in AFE. I have recieved very little feedback from them. Dont know how much is Covid related, and how much is there business just going down hill. I told them I would be happy to get my DP replaced if they assured me this was a one off and could send one that wasn't damaged, and had flush welds. Otherwise I'm just going to request a refund. Crickets since then. Quite aggravating. If SXTH wasn't 400 more I would have already gone that route. Here's hoping patience is a virtue...

Not in a huge hurry, just want a good piece without breaking the bank. Lol

Yeah, I'll keep my eye out. Talked to the sales team at SXTH, the only sale he could mention was there black Friday sale. Hopefully they have one before then. Also waiting to see how Mike likes his DP from Chip when he get it. Looks like he is making some good stuff over there. 🙂
Giving AFE the chance to make it right. Ill give them till the SXTH DP goes on sale, or I loose patients and ask Chip for a custom build. 😉

Afe took over 5 weeks so I cancelled my order. Chip's is on the way and should be here in a few weeks. I expect that to take longer since it's Russia. Then after that off to Jet-Hot for a 2500 degree coating.
