Man, they need to always utilize a skid pad, when pulling up cars with lower front ends. Or at least a ramp extension. I take it this was a flatbed?
They damaged the front end of mine when it was delivered. They used a chain to pull the VN up on a flatbed without utilizing the tow hook. It's was replaced by dealer at the dealers expense also.
I towed vehicles for awhile. Flatbed and lift truck 5 and 10 ton. Always utilized the tow hook if available as well as a ramp extension or skidpad under the front end. Never any chains just straps.
Really no excuse for this, if the operator is paying attention. I suggest you go after the tow operator or company.
