solo will be tough. i did 90% of the job solo with just a jack and jackstands. you will need an impact gun, long extentions, and wobble sockets. what made my life easier was my brother helped me snake the oem downpipe off and the sxth downpipe up. thats the only part you really might need help in. everything else about the job is super easy. just be careful especially with the nut and stud in the lower left.Can the AFe downpipe be installed solo in ones garage. I hear lots of people say they took it to a shop to be installed, but I am hoping to replace it myself with a couple ramps and a jack.
Watched the SXTH Element video, but I'm sure it's harder then they make it out to be. Lol Just want to here from those who have already installed it. How difficult was it and how much time did it take you?
Appreciate the feedback! I will ask my buddy give me a hand with pulling out the OEM, and manuvering the AFe back up. Have everything but the impact gusto hopefully I can manage with long extensions and a breaker bar.
i did not do it, but i had to pull and push with way more force than i was comfortable with. i could have broken the o2 sensor. so i do recommend you do that if you can. and i extremely recommend at least borrowing an impact gun lol in my opinion it will save you hours.
