I would be very happy indeed if that worked on my car.I had both, the dealer greasing the rack has sorted both out.

No such luck...I would be very happy indeed if that worked on my car.![]()
I think i have this same issue.
Think we all have, so far it's the tyres, the heat shield, the LSD, the steering rack, there is obviously a fundamental flaw in the design for so many things to be blamed.I think i have this same issue.
This is getting blown up out of proportion. The dealers couldn't diagnose a fart in most cases.Think we all have, so far it's the tyres, the heat shield, the LSD, the steering rack, there is obviously a fundamental flaw in the design for so many things to be blamed.
Think we all have
What fault with the LSD?
What fault with the tyres?
They have both been blamed by posters who have a knocking graunchy sound at slow speeds on full lock. As well as other things that could cause it, don't think they have got to the bottom of it some dealers have apparently said it's normal. What fault with the LSD?

I just assumed it was a very common thing, though all may be a slight exaggeration.Lol “we all have” - that’s a sure sign of overstatement if ever there was one.
Well for once the dealers got it right - hooray!!some dealers have apparently said it's normal.

I've had this on every car I've ever had with diffs and wide tyres. If you think the i30N is bad, try manouevring an Audi RS3 in a confined space. It sounds like the tyres are going to come off the rims.It isn’t a fault and it is normal. I have it, I double checked with them it’s normal, it is, we all have it. Changed my tyres and it’s gone except when it’s particularly cold. There’s no fault with the tyres. I didn’t like them so I changed them. If you don’t like them change them. Mainly UK posters have complained of this, because of the climate here and that we don’t ‘do’ winter tyres (for the most part) like the guys in Europe.
Google it. How it works and what it is.
The rack stuff is mainly a grease job, yes some have had faulty racks (I won’t make a joke here), but to say the car has a fundamental flaw is, well, wrong. The car’s allowed to have faults. All cars do. But what you’re talking about isn’t a ‘fundamental flaw’, maybe consider purchasing a standard i30 which will remove these ‘faults’ almost instantly.
Then why has no other car I have ever owned made this horrible noise? and believe me I've had every kind of hot hatch going, to me it is a fundamental flaw, now I know it's normal it no longer worries me but it sounds horrible and why would I want an ORDINARY i30? don't know how loud your noise is on full lock at low speeds but believe me if you were in my car the first time it did it it would have scared the hell out of you, my wife was very alarmed I love the car but can't believe this should just be shrugged off as oh! that's normal. It isn’t a fault and it is normal. I have moaned about the noise on here *a lot* and everything else before anyone else gets in thereThen why has no other car I have ever owned made this horrible noise? and believe me I've had every kind of hot hatch going, to me it is a fundamental flaw, now I know it's normal it no longer worries me but it sounds horrible and why would I want an ORDINARY i30? don't know how loud your noise is on full lock at low speeds but believe me if you were in my car the first time it did it it would have scared the hell out of you, my wife was very alarmed I love the car but can't believe this should just be shrugged off as oh! that's normal.
This is the first of my 23 new cars that has done it.I'm getting mine looked at today. Was In a busy car park at weekend and must admit the sound was infuriating me a bit.
But I've had more expensive cars with worse issues. Cars are never perfect. I've learnt that from the 22 new ones I've had
There's always one on every forum unfortunately. This is getting blown up out of proportion. The dealers couldn't diagnose a fart in most cases.
This car is exceptional and very well screwed together. There seem to be a few members who are constantly berating the vehicle.
Well you started it ha! ha! your names not really Shmee 150 is it?Hmm. Not sure your being truthful but eh. Internet eh great place.
