Res Delete

I'm very new to cars and what not, and have been looking into a res delete for my i30 n sedan, is there any negatives that can arise from this such as warranty etc.
Thanks

Hey man, I've just moved your post to an operational thread on this topic - if you look north you will see all the ins and outs. Search engine is your friend 🙂.

Basically, you will be voiding the warranty on your exhaust system at the very least. Could also give them an excuse to knock back an engine-related fault claim too. You just have to weigh up the risks and decide whether more / different noise is worth it - not for me, and I reckon they sound terrible, but that's just my opinion.

Does anyone know if exhaust spec has changed on the 2023 I30N. I have Australian model so no GPF. Have purchased an RPM res delete for this model. However as per pics, exhaust shop and me cannot figure out how it fits with the helmholtz facing forward as its meant to. Unless you dont use the factory exhaust hanger. Which im sure you need to still.

The design has changed on 2023 models! You need the hanger!

Helmholtz resonator is correct in the photo

Hmmm... Ok im guessing by your forum name you are linked to RPM Performance. My car was manufactured in July 2022. Just took a long time to get to this side of the word.
Maybe just a note them, the current resonator delete wont work for Australia or NZ now.

Yes we are RPM Performance! They fit PFL i30n not Facelift which I take it yours is? The best solution would be either and adjustable hanger on ultimately one welded onto the resonator delete

Yes is facelift.
Might be nice to mention on your site it does not work on facelift model, and when I enquired about it and ordered last year no one at RPM mentioned it wont fit facelift model. And to be fair the facelift has been out for a while now.
But all good, ill see what I can do with it as is.

Did a res delete today on my 2023 i30N sedan.. boy it makes a big difference! The car comes stock with a lovely crackle and pop, the res delete amplifies it - a lot. Also find it pops at lower revs, so no need to thrash it to get the sound. Definitely great bang for buck, cost $150. Happy customer

Im still looking for a solution for mine, did you do an aftermarket one or cut and weld? Any pics before and after, cheers.
