Res Delete

In N mode it growls and pops when you start up from cold - it sounds like a rally car.
In Normal mode it's just as refined as before so no downside.
Car measured 97DB static at the track day last week in N mode (it was 94 before).
Love the gurgles on the overrun most of all, sounds so deep and aggressive.

I took a mate out today in it and he said it sounds like a rally car, he couldn’t believe how much louder the bangs were, but yeh the gurgles are the best, it’s sounds pretty nasty.. I’m not so sure I’d let this baby rip with a cop close by though, I’m no expert on noise level legality, but I’ve got a feeling this may qualify? lol, so I’m happy normal mode hasn’t changed all that much..

Definitely - I wouldn't have done it without the option to turn it down but I took work people on a motorway trip last week and they didn't notice any difference.
Yes I won't push my luck if I see a police car either!

It’s funny the guy in the garage told me the res is pretty small on this car and I shouldn’t even bother, said it’ll hardly make any difference.. well it’s safe to say he was wrong, I heard the difference just on start up..

Those sound amazing, so to clarify this is the Res after the GPF/OPF/Cat right?

So on a GPF equipped car, it will still be a good improvement? Awesome for sub £100.
 
If i recall correctly the gpf version has no mid resonator. The gpf itseft kills the noise.
 
Hello, I have the GPF version, I have to see if it has the resonator. In case it doesn't have a solution, put Remus in between?

I do not remember to have seen a mid resonator on my car (when lifted to install the mounts). It is dp with cat, then gpf, then looooong pipe and last silencer with the flap.
I will need to remove this !@# gpf, the sound must be a lot better without is, and a full 76mm exhaust (turbo back)

I don’t have a GPF on mine thankfully, so not sure how it will sound without it, I’m assuming the same, and yes it’s a good improvement..
 
Yes, pics are the other way. The first one has the gpf, the second one has the silencer. I would prefer a full system like 90mm downpipe with 200cell cat, and 76mm pipe until the one and only one oem-ish silencer.
