ICE Remote Windows

Oh the drama.. :p:p:p

The windows will be fine.
Mechanically every window has its own motor, so you're not stressing anything.

Electrically..

..there is nothing to worry about. If there was a problem, they wouldn't do it. And if there will be a problem, they'll fix it.
I think the issue is that the same motors can be operated from two separate switches (like most cars) and the manual seems to suggest that this could cause a problem.

Yeah when all passengers play simultaneously with the window switches, it can be dangerous.. :p
Possibly not dangerous , but if you try to drive the motor in opposite directions at the same time (the manual reads that you could) then your going to be blowing fuses, no?

its an option you can enable. Bill Thomas postet a screen of the available options

Yes, saw that one thanks. Sometimes a dealer could try dodge the job though. "That's not a UK option" that sort of response.

To be fair to my dealer, they've been great so wouldn't be an issue I imagine. Don't know if it's even something I'd use tbh.

Think about that for a second.. :)

Only the driver has control over all four windows (and also the power to disable the rear ones). That means, that the driver should be pressing UP for a passenger's window, and the passenger DOWN for something like that to happen.

You fight with your other half over their window? You open the window and your kids close it? I mean, if that ever happens you're doing something really wrong. And if it happens once or twice by accident that doesn't mean it will go BOOM, and if it goes, it's a fuse.. No biggie! :D

I’m not suggesting your right or wrong I was just quoting the manual (windows will stop working) and trying to help with WookieM’s query.
Like you say it’s only a fuse so nothing to worry about.

You never fought over the window with your passangers? Come on, live a little ;)

Where in the UK are you from @Noose ?

And did you see what they did?

I'm in Peterborough and I didn't see what they did but they just said they would plug it in and see if they can do it and apparently they can.

Just got mine done :D all be it a little begrudgingly by one of the service staff. Apparently he hates forums haha.

All of the other staff were nice and said they would fit a stereo upgrade if I bought it from Hyundai Germany. And they were interested in how the car was running etc.

They also told me they hadn't sold any more N's and they couldn't get any more in due to the shortage.
