Small things I want changed, Can I?

Hi All,

The function for opening the windows has to be enabled by the dealer. When the cars arrive from the factory, it is disabled.

The close function for windows should work from the get-go on Australian cars.

If the dealer isn't aware of how to talk to the car and enable the open windows function, they should contact tech support at Hyundai Australia and get the information they need.

Hope this helps.

Which way do you turn to raise headlight i'e. give more range I assume towards U?How much adjustment have others used?

With all due respect, tell your dealer that's garbage. I'm in Australia, and my remote both opens and closes the windows.
How do you do this? I really probably should read the manual.......

By default it might be disabled,
When you are at your car next. Hold the unlock button on your key, after maybe 5 seconds the windows should have started to go down (if enabled)
next, open all your windows manually (if they didn't already) and hop out of the car with the doors closed once again.
Hold the lock button on your key, after the same 5 or so second wait the windows should have started to close.

If you let go of the button on the key then they will stop wherever they are at. (I wish I could let go of the key once the windows start to close although that seems like such a small issue)

UPDATE: Just wanted to let everyone know the service centre was able to enable this feature within under 10minutes. It was nice and quick.

Thank you @Bill Thomas for the help in getting the right people in contact with the dealer.
No problem.

To be clear, all Australian i30 Ns should have Remote Window Open ENABLED.

In the i30 N's Pre-Delivery Inspection Checklist, in Section F, VEHICLE SOFTWARE SETTINGS, it says that Remote Window Open should be set to ENABLE using the GDS-M (the Global Diagnostic System-Mobile tablet).

If the Remote Open function does not work on your car, your dealer has not carried out the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) correctly.

Get in touch with them and ask them to correct it, as BurntRice did above.

Cheers,

Just been into the dealership, my windows now open with the key! Took a couple of minutes max!

Edit: Also no charge :)
That is the sort of action you want for you new i30N ! Hopefully this means subsequent Pre Delivery Inspections at this dealership will carry this out as a matter of course.

I had to show my selling dealership this as they weren't aware of this feature at all !!

I borrowed a GDS and did it myself
