hey guys,
I'm going to try my luck here—hoping someone can help me out.
I have a 2019 i30N Performance (202 kW / 275 hp) model. The only modification to my car is a GPF delete.
My car is throwing code P2478: Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 1, Bank 1 - Out of Range.
The code mostly appears during normal cruising, but not every day—I'd say every other day, sometimes going a few days without the error or check engine light.
It has never appeared on track or when I was really pushing the car hard.
the issues started appearing about year later after i installed GPF delete, so i dont think its related to that.
I logged live temperature data and didn’t notice any unusual spikes when the error appeared.
I have since replaced the first oxygen sensor with a genuine OEM 39210-2GPD0. At first, it seemed fine, but now the same issue is back.
( Do you guys have any idea what could be causing the problem? The service centers near me aren't great, and the good ones are a bit farther away, so I'm trying my luck here first. If needed, I'll visit a better service center later. )
thanks guys
