was having issues with 6th being difficult to engage and completed the adjustment process - much better now, thanks for posting. These gearboxes arent the smoothest though!

Issues with 5th/6th gear (and 1st/2nd)

They get better with age. Mine is on 40,000 miles and is pretty good.
There was a fix for the 6th gear problem . But hyundai have stopped doing it now . Had mine done 2 years ago. The 6th syncro was changed and barrings.
Just drop mine today to solve this. Hope Hyundai Spain have the parts in stock.
Couldnt you arrange a free courtesy car?
I'm sorry to say that but i think that you will be soon like me... hyundai in Europe ordered their parts with the mobis platform and it seems that the 5th gear is not available in Europe so they ordered it in Korea and give no informations.

Hello gutiserra, some news from your side? For me, no car for 5 months now, i'm desesperated!
Gonna send an email to the dealer later this week to check status. Last news where on July 12th when they were about to open the gearbox to "diagnose the problem"
We will see if I manage to get a courtesy car if they are waiting for parts to arrive.
Ok, it was the same for me, opening the gear box to diagnose... 5 months now that the gear box is dismantled and next to the car, hope for you that in Sapin they will be more efficient than in France!
Today I got my car finally home! It took just under a month.
Here is what they have replaced, sorry it's in Spanish but part numbers are universal.
Tested the car over 20km and now 5th and 6th feel as smooth as every other gear, very happy for the moment. God I missed the N after a month driving shitty rental cars.

(Without your name, adress an vin number of course) with that, i will be able to prove to my Hyundai dealer that in Spain, they know how to fix the problem !

i got the same problem with my N....the car is since April 8th at the Hyundai Dealer for repairig the 2+5+6 gear. Since this time i wait for the 43290-24850 and 43240-24830.
Hyundai Germany cannot ship the spare parts for my N...I am really pissed off because they don´t pay a rental car for the time.

Always waiting too, 7 months now... it's just a shame !!
The parts is available in other countries but hyundai France refuse to order it because it's not the official "way"... and of course, if i ordered it and give it to them, no more warranty....

I found the needed spare parts in Latvia...but Hyundai Germany doesn´t accept this.
