Did they pay for the new clutch as well? If so, then totally worth it imoYou may have to live with the problem . I had mine fixed with hyundai last year April 2022. I'm sure hyundai have spotted doing repair now .
It was a lot of hassle, 2 different garages to fix problem .
Ended up with new clutch , re con gear box and new fly wheel .
6 weeks in garage with no urgency in repairing it .
I'd live with it I was you .
I fixed it by adding a shim to the reverse lockout , 2mm shimSometimes 2nd is really hard to get into when you are trying to shift fast, or if you move too far left, is there any fix for this?
Can you give a bit more detail please?
I have not done the adjustment, a bit too lazy and this took 5 minutes and fixed my issue completely. It's absolutely mint now.So effectively you're preventing the lever moving too far to the left? Had you previously done the recommended cable adjustment?
No problem amigo5 years later and we (in portugal) are still referring to this post so we sort it out in our cars, just dropping by to say thanks
Cant you have your car home until parts arrive?Hello everyone, a quick message to tell you that unfortunately, encountering problems with shifting gears 5/6, I dropped off my car at Hyndai at the end of February and... I have been waiting ever since!
The part is ordered but it is apparently in production in Korea, no one is able to give me a deadline, no one is able to give me information, customer support is just catastrophic, never seen that! My vehicle has been immobilized for almost 3 months now and no one at Hyundai is able to tell me when I will be able to get it back... it's lamentable!
The worst is that the part is available at Hyundai Canada, but as I am in France, Hyundai France only source from the Europe platform and nowhere else!
It's really worrying to think that Hyundai (at least in France) is incapable of controlling its supply chain, at the slightest breakdown, it's very worrying to think that we risk several months of downtime!
So today, i don't know if i'll have my car in 1, 3 or 6 months!!
I will keep you informed of the progress of the situation...
