Issues with 5th/6th gear (and 1st/2nd)

That doesn't look like a Hyundai dealership. More like a local shop.

This is the local Hyundai Dealer in this area. Its a small one...

Always waiting too, 7 months now... it's just a shame !!
The parts is available in other countries but hyundai France refuse to order it because it's not the official "way"... and of course, if i ordered it and give it to them, no more warranty....
In which country do you live?

I know N drivers here in Germany who are waiting for the repairig of the transmission 10-12 Months....Its really horrible.

Tommorrow i will egt my N back from the Dealer....after 6 months with a complet new transmission. I went to a laywer and i put them to the court. This is the only reason because they spent me the new complet transmission.

The new one costs 9800€ plus Tax plus the installation costs. A lot of money for the warranty.

Well done to force Hyundai to replace the gearbox. No way is a gearbox worth that amount of money, it's a rip off price.

How many time does it take between you take a laywer and Hyundai decide to change the transmission ? Does it cost a lot for you?

After more than 8 months of immobilization, I was finally able to recover my vehicle... during all this time, no communication from Hyundai, no loaner vehicle and no commercial gesture...

The last service note was applied: the 5 and 6 pinions as well as the synchro ring were changed.

It was the first, and I hope, the last problem with this car beacuse HYUNDAI after-sales service is truly catastrophic.

2025 EN MT, this fix from klingon also fixed my gear lockout issue when trying to downshift from 3rd to 2nd while under heavy load, ~1 lateral G.

A piece of plastic is glued to the reverse lockout area. I used a piece of a reward card for pull a part.

I have the same issue, but only if the gearbox is cold. If i drive 20 minutes, the issue is gone.

How cold? Worth a gearbox oil change first I'd suggest. Here's what I use , motul gear power LV 70W API/GL4
