Many people talking shit about this and simply don't have knowledge.
Most modern cars have high ET values on the wheels therefore, very low negativ offset steering.
With that steered wheels nearly won't move in an angle of the geometry, they will move more right on the spot when they get steered.
Combine this behavior with high negative castor, it is very easy to scrub tires sideways because from beginning the tires aren't plane to the tarmac.
Cold, damp, wet conditions will promote this behavior. And of course a lot of tires aren't that loud or sturdy while this happens.
It comes not from a torsen/helical lsd.
Sure a plate controlled lsd is an other story!
Why do high grip tires do it often, because the positive profil blocks are bigger and less flexible, before they'll flex they scrub on these circumstances.
