i20N wheel compatibility

Well I‘ve had 225 tyres fitted to the 7.5” wide wheels and you could barely tell compared to 8” wheels I later fitted them to. I expect they will fit on 8.5” just fine. Bu5 that doesn’t tell you about arch clearance at maximum lock - is your suspension lowered?
I think they should hopefully fit ok. Just wanted to check to see if anyone else has fitted that size already. I am running stock suspension

I don't suppose anyone has fitted a set of 8.5jx18 ET45 alloys with 225/40 tyres, as I order a set of OZ Racing Estrema GT HLT in Matt Bronze in that sizing. That was the fitment given when I put my car details in, but I'm unsure if they will fit ok and was just wondering if anyone has any experience running these size of alloys.
Hi! I have 9"x17" ET45(track) and 8"x17" ET37 (street). Your wheel size will be flush or almost poking a bit out. That's the only problem you will have because with my 9" I have no issues on rubing.

Hi mate, curious to know which tyres you have for track set up? As 9 inch ET45 is quite much.

My new wheels are 18x8 ET47 so struggling to decide if going for 225 semi slicks or 235 UHP tyre...🤔

Thank you!

Hello! For track use, I tried both a 245 square setup (Yokohama AD08RS) and a 235 square setup, as well as 235 front with 225 rear (Yokohama a052). The last one is better, the car feels more agile, and it makes more sense on a FWD car with such low weight in the rear. Also worth noting is that they are very different tyres.

9-inch ET45 is quite aggressive. You’re right, my car has a widebody to fit the wheels, and on the inside there isn’t much room left between the wheel and the shock.

You are free to do whatever you want; in the end, if you don’t try different setups, you won’t know which one suits you best. If I were you, I would run 225 or even 215 on an 8" wheel if it’s a semi-slick. With 235 UHP tyres it's okey too but I would still go 225 UHP, you may feel the steering isn’t as sharp as with 225 semi-slicks.

Hope this helps. Again, I would suggest trying different setups to see what fits you best 👍

Appreciate your comments, thanks!

I have asked availability for Advan A052/AD09. Also Michelin Cup 2 would be an option. And yes 235 semi slick is too much for 8 inch wheel, 225 would fit like a glove what I've seen in pictures.

Hi folks, I have one question.

I'm looking forward to fit 2forge's ZF1 and available size is 8x18 with et42, will it poke too much??

It's difficult to find white light multispoke wheels. Other option are Tomason TN25 in bronze, but I prefer them white (or matte gold).

Thanks!

Hi,

You mean ET45 or ET42?

Many people have ET45 and 225 tires.
I have ET47 and personally wouldn't go any lower wit ET. But if, then 215 tire will give you more room. Seen some pictures with 18x8, ET40 with 215 PZ4's..

Sorry 42, the willtheyfit is wrong, here is the correct. The idea is to keep the stock 215's and in the next change, go for 225.

I would say ET42 and 225 tire is not optimal. With 215 might be ok, but wheels are little bit out from fender line.

Are you having stock springs/dampers, planning to lower your car?
I'm not saying that they don't fit, but rock spray for fenders etc. is something to consider and also full lock and bad roads might cause rubbing for you. But this also depends how you drive the car 😊

Please others correct if I'm wrong.

I have tested for now following set ups:
18x7.5 ET45 with 225/40
18x8 ET47 with 235/40, and now 225/40
