i20N wheel compatibility

Does anyone know whether 8,0x18 ET48 will fit? I'm offered OZ Ultraleggera Black in that size. I think they are intended for i20n from the factory (OZ Racing) but not sure. Maybe someone have experience with that size or similar? I'm mostly concerned about the change of ET from 53 to 48 (+11 mm poke).

I was interested in other rims from OZ Racing and the dealer told me they would fit. 18x8.0 ET45.

Unless you have the i20N to measure against what 11mm poke would do on the arches there’s not much you can do.

Thank you both for quick reply! From my dealer the rims im looking at (8,0x18 ET48) are specifically intended for the i20n (released this week). Thus I'm confident (as the rims are approved by OZ). I have to order now without the car because they are part of my total deal with financing and all.
At some point i think a list of suitable rims for i20n would be great in the forum (similar to the list for i30n). There are not many officially approved rims yet as the car is very new on the market.

Choosing ET48 is safer than ET45. Can you write how much is the set? My favorite OZ Racing Formula HLT rims cost ~1,230 euros.

Don’t forget the price of 4 tpms sensors too when pricing new alloys

its difficult to really tell the price because they are included as complete deal with car, options, mats and other stuff. Officialy the price 2000 for 4 but that's not what I'm paying. Also where I live prices for cars are generally super high compared to other stuff (unfortunately).

Of cause :) hopefully I will get in September. I'm seriously looking forward to getting it. I started following the development with YouTube clips of prototypes on Nürburgring way way back. I have waited very long to see how it turned out and is basically buying it in blind now. I'm pretty confident it's a great car though (can't imagine every single reviewer and magazines is totally wrong). Have tested i30n and that's a great car (but I prefer something smaller).

Yep plenty of people have them and chatting about them on the Facebook groups. all good feedback...

I will go before delivery on summer tires for these; 7.5J 18 ET48, so the total wheelbase wil be extended 10mm (5mm each side). The more extended the wheels go, the heavier the steering wheel, plus you stretch the bearings and suspension, plus you change the characteristics under braking and cornering, that is why I will not go for ET45

Thank for the explanation (I did not know this). Hopefully the change from the standard ET53 to ET48 is perfectly OK and only a minimal change in driving characteristics.

If you are buying 18x7.5 it doesn't matter if the ET will be 48 or 45. With a rim wider than 18x8 it may already be.

I'm not sure I understand. Do do you think it will be a problem to go with 8 inch width (and ET48) compared to the standard 7,5 inch (ET53)?

@Jepper No, should not be any problem with 18x8 ET48 or ET45 (ET of my favourite rims).

A wider rim than 18x8 (for example 18x8.5) may not fit anymore, the tire may rub against the edge of the fender.

Thank you :) I'm a total amateur when I comes to after market rims. Thus a little anxious deviating from the official size of 18x7,5 ET53 . My dealer also think its OK and claim its backed by OZ but, you know, still very good to hear from someone else.

Those look stunning. I’d love to see them in the flesh on an i20N.
