Any early power figures to report?Hello guys! I hope you are doing great!! Today was our first try remapping the car. We did it,we are currently under development and testing it. We want this to be as safe as possible step by step. Tested the car,no ecl light, nothing. First review, better and louder pops and bangs, nice acceleration. Heavy rainy today so we couldnt test it more. Next week we are gonna have better results. Thank you.
We want to see how the car will behave using it normaly or driving it faster with good weather conditions. Maybe something needs to be changed. We want to be sure that the car will work the best out of it, numbers and dyno next week.Any early power figures to report?![]()
I think stage 2 will be around that tbhStage 1 with 260-280 bhp would be fine![]()
I am not willing to sucrifice my engine to make a car running in straight lines or to be the fastest in the hoodI think stage 2 will be around that tbh
meh, i think you'd be ok, it's just waiting for mod makers to make the parts that will likely need upgrading i.e. hpfpI am not willing to sucrifice my engine to make a car running in straight lines or to be the fastest in the hoodA nice healthy remap so some aftermarket parts can run properly like downpipe or something else. Btw the people who have straight pipe exhaust (76mm) it would be unable to run outside the track in N mode without closing the exhaust valve,,too much noise. I felt a nice difference already with gpf delete.
i think around 240hp the car runs healthy. Idk 250 and above the connecting rods can handle the torque. you are right about the hpfpmeh, i think you'd be ok, it's just waiting for mod makers to make the parts that will likely need upgrading i.e. hpfp
I would consider getting resonators then like vibrant. 5 year warranty and are very effective.I am not willing to sucrifice my engine to make a car running in straight lines or to be the fastest in the hoodA nice healthy remap so some aftermarket parts can run properly like downpipe or something else. Very exciting! We want to see how the car will behave using it normaly or driving it faster with good weather conditions. Maybe something needs to be changed. We want to be sure that the car will work the best out of it, numbers and dyno next week.
Those pops are amazing btw. Just a bit patience. Oh something else, mine has only gpf delete and intake. The file is totally custom. Someone who has more aftermarket parts gonna need further changes. My goal is to be safe and a bit faster than stock map, i dont want to push it to the max.
A LSD would help and yes 245 tires helps alot. Slapped 245 tires on the N-line when I had my Elantra N-line. Speedo was off by like.... 1 mph tho204 bhp is very underestimated for a 1.6 Turbo engine. The shitty prince engine in the RCZ-R runs 270 bhp from stock vor example. Right the i20N will need 245 or wider semi tires on the front to get good traction and grip in and out of corners. For case some day 300-400 bhp will be possible, in addition with a lot other mods. At the moment I don't want to have some extra power as the suspension is stock.
Mechanical LSD as standard on the i20NA LSD would help and yes 245 tires helps alot. Slapped 245 tires on the N-line when I had my Elantra N-line. Speedo was off by like.... 1 mph tho
That's right. I forgot the i20N has one. The Elantra N-line/I30 N-line sedan doesn't.Mechanical LSD as standard on the i20N
245's won't go on the i20n alloys either, 235 max and i think there's rubbing on even 235 tyres, i have 225 tyres all round, polyurethane torque mount bush, tuning box and it doesn't hop or spin much off the line anymore, it's managed 5.19s to 60That's right.
