How To: Remote Windows

I was in my local Hyundai dealership on Tuesday to have my auto up enabled, but they couldn’t find the function on their computer, they even tried the showroom fastback and that didn’t have it either ,my hatch is 2018 model, the service manager swore the he had done this on other N’s before and couldn’t explain why mine didn’t have that function?

Please see the several posts just a few posts above :) one member even had a (justifiable) rant about the rationale for removing it from Hyundai scan tool.

I was advised by Hyundai that this function was not part of the pre-delivery service. I had it enabled by the Hyundai Phil Gilbert Croydon dealer at the 1500 k service in November last year. Great to use on hot days.

Pretty sure they can't / won't do it anymore, but happy to hear you got it done. Keep hearing good things about Phil Gilbert - been on the phone to them a couple of times, also bought some bits and pieces online and had it shipped. Consistently great service.

Hi guys

New Aussie owner here, took delivery of my brand new car about 5 hours ago. Can confirm that they only enabled the roll up the windows on lock button, but they did not find a roll down the windows option.

My car was made in August 2019, complied November 2019, Paperwork and car build sticker says its a PDe.2

Nop this won't be possible. The Windows-Down Feature has nothing to do with the navigation system. These are two separate systems. You need to get a coding-device which supports the i30n/veloster n and set it up there.

But in this menu there is not only navigation. I could found set up of ie, how many doors the car has etc. So looks like you can set up more than just navigation/radio. More at https://www.oviradio.cz/hyundai-kia-radio-engineering-mode-en/

afaik all these settings are relevant for settings/images and internal handling the headunit does. when sending open/close commands via key, the HU is usually asleep. The "coding" that can be changed there is HU only, like if there is a telematics unit build in the car, how the car looks, if it has a rear cam and so on.
-- edit:
so while I don't think there is any possibility to change non-HU related coding in the engineering mode, I'd be happy to be proved wrong:)

We have recently an i30 N-Line (the forum registration didn't like the way I was entering the model so it just says i30).
Anyway we had a GD i30 Elite previously and my wife loves the new N-Line as do I. However the previous i30 had auto up/down windows from the drivers side control for all 4 windows. The new N-Line only has auto down for the drivers side window, all others you have to hold the switch until the window if fully up or down. This seems like a backward step as I know that other current i30 models have full auto up[/down, including (I think) the i30 N!
Does anyone know if this can be changed?
I asked my local Hyundai dealer even being prepared to pay for the module from a different model to be put into the vehicle and they said a flat "No it can't be done". This seems like a fairly common answer from dealers as I'm sure that the modules are all manufactured in the same factory have the same connectors etc.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Try here for your answer;

I have an i30 N-Line premium 2020 and I can close the windows if I press and hold the lock button.

However, I can't open them if I use the unlock. Maybe it's just something that needs to be enabled.

Also, closing the sunroof is not working as well. I will be checking with the dealer in 25 days from now when I book the 1500Km service.

I will update here. (I'm in Sydney - Australia)
