How To: Headunit firmware & GPS navigation maps update

Straight download, unzip to a folder and copy content to a freshly formatted SDcard.
Send me a screenshot of the contents when you get a chance.
Ok thought so - your previous posts would have said otherwise. Shame, because it looks like I've done the same and got the search issue.
Below is the structure of the MAPS card I have. I've formatted 3 times and copied fresh and still the same

Was out shopping just now. 3.5 miles from home and everything I was searching for worked. Postcodes, place names, everything. Seems like I have a location lock on where I live or something! Dont understand it at all....

PS no response from Hyundai - chased twice :(

If you are searching for a street, try to type the word "street" or " road" in the search.

Also, after you press "ok" and you get the results, on the upper right side of the screen select "Distance" instead of the "best match"

Yeah will do thanks

This is what I have. I'm pretty certain you do not need the DAUDIOPLUS_M but it wouldn't do any harm to add it to the contents.

Thanks Jim
So the same apart from the folder. I have an old copy of that folder but it's not in the google download link a few pages back (i've downloaded it twice to check).
If it's not needed then ok - I have checked the VER file and it references the DAUDIOPLUS_M folder in there - mentions it being updates of sorts.
I always get bitten when fiddling - my Mrs is laughing at me and telling me to stay away from her car now!

Thanks Jim

If you want I'll upload that folder and send you the link. Let me know.

Heres the link to the folder.
Hi Jim
I put the folder onto a freshly formatted card with the latest maps files and still the same. Wont search when around my home but happily does it around and about. GPS is picking me up and when I do Live Parking/Petrol Stations it picks me up etc... If I do Near to city in the Nav search it will happily guide me wherever I want.

I think I'll leave it as it is and wait for the next update. If it doesn't fix my issue then I'll book in with Hyundai to see if they can look at it.

Thanks for the help

Hey all .... have a friend who is not very impressed with the latest firmware update (especially the maps) that Hyundai have put on their Tucson. Are previous versions available and can it be downgraded?

There were two map releases this year, the April one is the buggy one, I've had no issues at all with the may release.
I don't know of anyone successfully installing the older version. What map version is the Tucson using?

I will see if I can find out. The main issue was the look of the maps as they are now harder to see the roads as they are a lot thinner now, especially in night mode.

Hi guys.

I just had my 2018 i30N in for a service earlier today. They told me that the software and navi map had been updated to the latest version.

Did anyone else notice an improvement in the sound quality of the sound system? I have the basic non-branded speakers.
I feel as if there is a significant difference, but I'm not sure if I'm only imagining it...

The sound feels punchier and more clear.

The very early revisions of the software improved the sound measurably. And got rid of several bugs to boot.
