Yes but removing that folder is optional. It won't update again as it's already running that version.

nope my18 didnt work either.
reasons i can think of:
Version 112 to old for update
renaming both files before update
stupid user
@Mordog just try it the way I did it: install the software from bolidenforum ( I can't share it - maybe someone else can), after that you'll have v120 and will be able to use an SD card with the russian maps regardless of renaming or editing anything which in this case is only needed to have "EUR.*" in the info screen.
That's what I did. The May update is map and nav version only. I've got a theory why both Tucson files aren't working. I need to do some testing.
The 2020-2 software update had only the neccessary files for Hyundai i30N, this is a list of the contents.
The one's downloaded for the Tuscon MY18 and F/L have this
Notice two missing folders CANNEU_H and DAUDIOPLUS, along with the DAUDIOPLUS_M this totals 5.2Gb, the DAUDIOPLUS_M in the Tuscon download is only 366Mb. No wonder it won't work, so you can use the latest map from the Tuscon download but you must get the full software upgrade to V120 first from the boliden forum.

You need to update to the 2020-2 before update to 2021-1 you can't jump updatesnope my18 didnt work either.

I don't think that's true, they're not incremental updates but complete packages.
I know there is one, I think the 2020-1 is complete packages the others aren't. If he doesn't have the 2020-1 all ready installed, I think it don't work.
Any ways it all ways be better to do all updates
I'm uploading to my google drive both the software and maps for MAY 2021. This is the latest one available and the latest maps solve the problem with the speed limit display showing 1 mph less than the posted limit. I'll post the links as soon as they are finished uploading. Also available in my google drive in the very first post in this thread is the link to the 2020-2 software and maps if you need them, but as far as I know you can safely jump over missed versions otherwise it would be a nightmare for the dealers to go through loads of update sequences.

Use a fat32 freshly formatted 32Gb SD Card
download the software first, extract the contents into a folder and then copy to the FRESHLY formatted SDCard
Go to the car, start engine and disable stop start, you MUST leave the engine running throughout, remove existing SDCARD, insert new one and the update will start automatically, let it run all the way through, it takes about 20 mins.
When it has finished take the original SDCard to your PC, download the MAP and extract the contents to a folder, format the SDcard to Fat32, then copy the contents of the folder to the card.
Go to car and swap cards, give it a minute to recognise the new map and you're done.
Everyone who has had issues doing this has neglected to format the cards first. Try to use a PC not a MAC asMac's have issues copying all the files.

This worked. just updated so nothing tested yet.
only downside was the download-peed of 500KB/s, but that's probably between me and google.
I found the last update I did set a new baseline volume for the warnings. You just need to wait for the "doom and gloom lady" (as I call her) to issue a warning, quickly grab the volume and adjust to suit whilst she is still talking.

I went to the full map screen, pressed the speaker icon on the left and there were two volume options. One was the speaking volume and it was on much lower than I remember. Just adjusted that and working perfectly now.
Cant seem to find an option for rear camera settings - thought there was one in the 2021 update but maybe not.... anyone have a change log of features?
