I remember way back one member on here had a go at me for stating why are punters spending 90 euro on these flimsy plastic H emblem covers, they must of had something to do with the seller of these H emblems as they were defending the H emblems, to me they just seemed like a total rip off and if I was ever going to turn my H emblems black I would spray paint them and that is what I ended up doing well thank god I did not buy into these emblem covers as a well-known moderator is on his 3rd set already now I see he will be painting his H emblems the next time the moulded emblems he purchased start to melt in the heat of the sun, seems to have been a total waste of money for you lot reading this post.
Better to do what I did spray them and use full dip it can withstand 250 c so no chance of the full dip melting. Am I ever glad I did not buy into those flimsy emblem covers as they have failed miserably and the price for what they are is out of orbit.
Pictures attached of my H emblems sprayed with Full dip. Applied a glossifier afterwards for permanent protection also used a palsti dip primer for a permanent adhesion no peeling cracking flacking or lifting.
I ended up painting the exhaust tips chameleon and they turned out a fantastic.
Do it right first time and forget it. Pictures below showing different stages of painting.
