Badge overlays were fried and warped from the sun and heat and very brittle, so with a bit of persuasion they just disintegrated except for what was still attached to the (very) hardened silicone adhesive leaving me with this...

Grab some needle-nosed pliers, gently peel back the edges and jet some WD-40 in behind them, leave for half an hour or so and go have a beer to allow the silicone to soften.

Come back and just keep grabbing the loose tabs with the pliers, gently peeling off the debris.

Get stuck into it with a rag soaked in petrol and wrapped around a plastic trim removal tool.

Once all the silicone goo is gone just rinse, shampoo, dry and wax the surrounding paintwork.
