Black Hyundai Badges

Has anyone wrapped the front and back badges without removing them? I am planning to do so because I'm tired of waiting for the overlays to be in stock again. I would appreciate some pictures if you got them wrapped :)
Thinking of this myself . The first three wrappers said no as it’s too intricate. The fourth, slightly less professional company said yes. £40 if they don’t have to take the bumper off ( front badge only ) £140 if they do.
I check that eBay listing quite regularly , but seems like to get them it needs to be at least once an hour !

The wrapper I talked to said they'd absolutely have to remove both badges to wrap them due to the shape. With the front bumper removal it's just too much hassle...

Simply follow the seller on ebay and you will get alerted immediately...
quality is imho worthy.

How do you do this? I have him saved/followed, but it does not alert me? I looked at account options and basically I can only have it email me weekly which of course is too long in this case?

I'm loathe to out myself in this way, but I am one of those sad Americans driving the i30N's lesser loved step sibling, the Elantra GT N-Line. Even still, I'd like to think that I deserve the opportunity to black out my H badges...

Would anyone be willing to measure and share the dimensions of the H badges on the front and back of the i30N?

Thanks!

I think it would be unreasonable for Hyundai to make the badge sizes different on the i30/Elantra GT models without radar. Just doesn't make much sense from a manufacturer standpoint to me.

Just give em a try, worst case is that you'll have to use a hairdryer to make the front badge a bit softer so it forms around your logo in the grille.

My front badge is actually larger than the poster above indicated. My GT does not have radar up front (Hyundai decided that N-Line buyers who choose the manual transmission don't even have the option to add the "technology package"...and don't get me started on the lack of side skirts in the US!). Anyway, if the front badges were going to be different sizes I would have assumed a larger badge to hide the radar box, not smaller.

Anyway, I reached out to the seller to get some sizing clarification. I'll buy one of everything he's selling if that's what it takes, but I want to make sure I wind up with one cover that fits the front badge.

edit: I feel pretty dumb right about now. I checked the older item listing and it says right in the listing (admittedly in German) that it doesn't fit the N-Line.

That's dissapointing.

At most it's a 15 minute process and good to know how, if you're going to add an intercooler, Velossa Tech Ram Air Snorkel, dual horns etc.:)

@CalculonsTalent, https://deepbluechrome.com/ If your really wanting something different, talk to this vendor. They will take the OEM units, either yours or another OEM set they purchase and hydrographic the OEM emblems in carbon.

I had been avoiding pulling off the front bumper because I'm clumsy and afraid of breaking clips. That's what makes those badge covers so perfect.

You VN customization thread is amazing. That's a great list of cool stuff.

I suppose if I ever decide to do the ram air and horns, I might as well do the badge while I'm at it.

Pulled my bumper off once and managed to half rip-out the clips that are riveted to the bumper right underneath the headlights. Still holds on fine there, just be careful and use one of those specialized tools.

Other than that, there's not much to it except disconnecting the DRLs and front parking sensors.

I believe you can ou can fix this fairly easily. Just get some thin nylon white or black washers, 5 minute epoxy them to the underside of the torn hole and they will hold better than new.

Also, if you know someone with a plastic welder, the same can be done as a permanent repair. Generally dentless repair and body shops, have plastic body welders.
