Would love to know how this plays out. I like deeper music, old school Dance, Garage and HipHop and the standard speakers don't like it. Is the 4x20w RMS power? Very low power handling. I wonder would a small amlifier help or be hard to wire in?

Sorry all, i did browse the thread and couldnt find any defining answers for installing a small amp and what it was like powering the aftermarket speakers. Let alone a review if it was done. I'll have a re-read. The speakers as a minimum would be upgraded in mine. Thanks

Can you remind me what speakers you are now running?
The Hertz 6.5 coax in the doors with the focal tweeters?
Are you not running 6.5 focal components up front?

Ummmmmm.....had to have a think/search there 😆

I fitted Hertz Dieci DCX 170.3 to the front doors with Hertz Deici DT24.3 tweeters on top of the dash tweeter covers and Audison AP6.5 Woofers to the rear doors.
The Focal tweeters had awful build quality and fell to bits easily.
Oh and I fitted the Pioneer amp afterwards which made a vast improvement!

TBH I find the Hertz tweeters "tiring" after a while, not bad but not quite what I'm after.
I've recently got hold of some Pioneer TS-A300TW tweeters which go a bit lower on the frequencies that I'll try soon.

Thanks, i am thinking of audison 6.5 comps in the front, but unsure on what to put in the rear.
With just the audison woofers in the rear doors what does it sound like for rear passengers? Is there any treble fill?

Who cares about the rear passengers?! Lol

It sounds fine, you don't really want much treble back there anyway.

Looking at adding a subwoofer, tempting to do what @Jajodu has done with the Kenwood KSC-SW11 but utilise the 12v socket in the boot for powering it.

But before I go that route..............does anyone know of a underseat subwoofer that actually FITS under the seats in the N?

If there is one that fits under the passenger seat then I might look at running the speaker wires connection from it through the passenger side trim and tapping into the Pioneer amplifier loom in my glovebox.
Maybe even tapping the sub power requirement from the power loom on the amp as well. Would that work?
My thinking is that as the amp powers up from the headunit then the sub would power up/shut down too as it would be tapped in to the amp power side. Would keep everything super neat and tied together......?!
(I know, I know....speakers and power cables should be kept apart. I don't think it will really matter on such a low power system).

In my previous car, a Subaru legacy 3.0 R Spec B I had an oem underseat sub woofer that would fit under the N passenger seat, it was made by pioneer. Trouble would be finding one.
Just done a google on legacy 2005 under seat subwoofer and got a few hits, have a look.

One user mounted his on the center tunnel against the rear seat.

Yeah saw that. I'll bite the bullet and see whats possible with it.

Found it for sale in Europe for around 150euros but will wait until UK suppliers have them in stock.

I have a simply question about active subwoofer from hyundai shop.
Is there any connection instruction on paper for this product with oem car radio ?
On the site in the pdf there is only info - connect power cable and signal to oem radio.
I can have this pioneer from other shop for about 120 euro not 168 so that is why I'm asking.

If you read this thread and others in this forum there's all the information you need, wiring diagrams, guided photos etc.
