I know but you can get conversion kits to convert the bolts to studs, and studs to bolts as a guy I was buying my rims of said he could do that for me with my Hyuandi as I was considering different rims so the device is like a conventional spacer with its own studs and in turn your wheel is changed from 114 to 112 then you attach the 112 wheel to your car obviously I passed this idea up and said my insurance would not like that fitment and neither did I if I am being honest.

Below is a photo a video I know nothing of these things either but anyhow they are out there in the wild and people use them as the guy I was speaking to says he installs them all the time for customers any configuration from bolts to studs to different bolt pattern size you name it he can do it. I was like you and told him the car has lug nuts and not bolts but he stated to me he can convert it to bolts and then came the hockey poker of wobble bolts. Who knows anyone’s guess really but there you go but not for me so I’m out. Guess thsi is termed as learning something new every day.

That is why I saw those opened ended lug nuts, all makes sense now.

If you will use this kind of stuff, ask your dealer first about warranty conditions. I know about these wheel spacers but if you will use them, there will be no wheels anymore what have ET over 60. That spacer will reduce wheel ET 15mm at least and most of this type of wheel spacers are even more than 20mm.

I swapped them over.
Mine will be on all year round so made sense rather than buying new ones.
 
Hi All
I just purchased some new Enkei SC50 in 18 x 8, ET45. I wasnt able to weigh them before my old Nankang AR-1's went on, so only know the total weight of 23.0kg for wheel and tyre. I read that these AR1s are very heavy, maybe 2kg per tyre more than other semis.

Does anyone else have the weight for the 235/40R18 AR1 so I can calculate the weight of the wheel?

Thanks, great find! So turns out the Enkei's arent particularly light at 11.4kg, but they seem well made and I dont have to fear cheap wheels failing on me under severe loading. These were very cheap, at AUD255 each (Eur156 ea). Cant wait to give them a run!
 
Hi All

I've finally received my matte black rota grids, will pick them up with tyres and TPMS sensors installed on Saturday

Dimensions are 18x8.5, +44. The tyres I'm putting on them are Michelin PS4 at 245/40/18

Those wheels won't work without rubbing. I show you a pic of 235/35 R19 PS4S on 8x19 ET45:

Your tires are 10mm wider, larger in circumference and your rims are 0.5" wider. Good luck :confused:

I had a look at what other people were getting in some other posts and it seemed fine
Might have to chat with the tyre shop now and see if I can get a different tyre

Doesn‘t matter that it is lowered. The original springs can do the same travel as well when it‘s fully loaded.
That shows how tight it is when the tire is a true 235;)
@tsaifood 235/40 will do the job properly, if you‘re still able to choose✌

after reading your comment about it not fitting I went into the alloy wheels with pictures thread and I can see lots of others fitting 18x8.5, but not many specify what tyre they fit.
I used willtheyfit and the final size is only a tinier bit larger than the stocks, so at this point I’m pretty confident they will fit. I’ll find out in 2 hours ;)
