Aaaand it's alcantara time

Dropped my lady off to the local saddler to get some alcantara added to my interior.
It took some time to get the right color for the stitching, luckily a mate of mine had his N done at the same saddler, so the saddler had the ability to get the right color from his supplier.
Needless to say: It turned out amazing

I let him do the following things:

• Steering wheel in alcantara (thickened up aswell)
• Painted the Hyundai logo on the steering wheel
• Airbag cover on the steering wheel in alcantara
• Shift sack in alcantara
• Shift knob in alcantara
• Handbrake lever in alcantara
• Armrest in alcantara
• Dash trim part in alcantara

I can't even express how happy I am with the changes. The thickened up steering wheel now fits even better into my hands, and just touching the alcantara lets you believe you are sitting in a totally new vehicle. Especially the changes to the steering wheel and the shifting knob make a BIG difference, because you touch them all the time. After I've picked her up today, I just did not want to stop driving around

Look at the other thread about the VN seatbelts. I gave you the website, part links and schematics. The blue belts will look quite nice with the new interior.

Yeah I wasn't sure at first if I should also include it in the make over. But after looking at pics from the zymexx alcantara steering wheel which had the stock airbag cover I decided I like my approach more. But I guess it's personal taste

So yesterday I went ahead with mounting my Big Mouth Intake Snorkel from Velossa Tech Design. Again big thanks to @R Veloster N, Velossa Tech and Hudson Automotive for making this thing a reality for the i30N as well as shipping it from the US to Germany!

In my opinion this thing looks wild, my next step is to wrap the red bumper stripe in black to emphasize the snorkel.

A small heads up regarding the installation:
You have two options either cutting the stock radiator air duct so it fits the snorkel or to completely remove it. I chose the latter option, because it is the way the manual describes the process. But when removing it two screws and two clips are located directly behind the impact bar, so it can be a bit fiddly reaching those.

I've taken a few pics from the installation as well as how it looks mounted:

I didnt notice anything neither in sound nor in performance.
For me, it's more for looks than for performance. I guess if you're running an ECU tune it could have an effect tho.

Thanks! Tbh I was also thinking black/black first. But then you just don't see it. Idea now is to make the red lip black so the Snorkel stands out even more!
