i30N wing mirror fix

Seems to be the right one, although I'm not sure if it has the puddle lights. Also it's silver instead of the black ones that come standard on the N.
 
Merry Xmas to me from a complete bellend BMW driver who can't control their car........looks like I'll be getting confirmation of the extortionate dealer price for a whole new wing mirror :mad:

On a side note, does anybody know of some free video (or photo) enhancers than can maybe make number plates readable?
 
Thats why it was important to me that my camera takes full images, not half pic sequences with doubled framerate. Looks way smoother but there is not the sharp picture quality. You can try to split your video into pictures. I sometimes do that with timelapses or slowmo videos to get sharp single images. Worth a try. But holy........ I know the issue. Thats why one summer rim got damaged a while ago..... be happy that it was only the wing mirror and no frontal crash.

True, very lucky it wasn't a full side swipe with panel damage. The BMW was going way too fast.

Annoying as only went out on lunchbreak to get petrol, has turned out to be an expensive tank full of V Power.

I Fuc***g live in fear of some As****e getting in my lane and do this. "fortunately" it was only a wing mirror, could have been so much worse.
Usually i glimpse at the driver (when possible) if they behave like maniacs, its atrocious the number of times they are looking down (on their phones perhaps) or the speed they are going on such poor weather. Happened to a bimmer, could happen to a twingo or a micra. Hope you get that fixed cheap
 
I've ordered the used one in the link from Page 1 from Poland. Part Number checks out for RHD car so should be all good.

£170 delivered to UK.
Hopefully it:
a) turns up
b) is in good condition.

That makes me mad, such injustice. You could spend those £170 on your kid and have to spend on something that wasn't even your fault. At least wont cost you a kidney

It is what it is, my "luck" is generally very good on the roads so I just have to suck it up and hopefully the BMW is also now looking for a new wing mirror as well. (Would be awesome if it had carbon fibre ones fitted :D)

I could try going down insurance route claiming for a new assembly from Hyundai but my excess would be more than the £170.......so another example of car insurance being a bit daft.

Carbon fiber replacement would be a nice lesson for that tool bag.
Insurance wise, yap, sucks big time as always :mad:

I'll give it a try and see what I can do.

I've tried 2 different photo enhancers and I can only get a few numbers. I've got one more to try.
