Using 225/40 R18 PZ5 on 8x18 ET53 wheels also fine, maybe some 3-5mm spacers needed in the future if fitting wider 225 semis.

Honestly, you see my rear wheel and it sits exactly the same with respect to the edge of the bodywork; it's true that the protective lip on the stock Pirelli wheels is very pronounced.
