Wheels N-cars Rims Database

Well after all the fuss I made above! 🤪 I found some FL rims for sale. Cleaned up really well, better than expected!

Have fitted them and gone for a drive, no issues or vibration, and all 4 TPMS still working! There is a little curb rash here and there (a couple may need welding) and one wheel has a small buckle on the inside, but nothing major. 2 have the original P zeros, 2 have RE003s with very good tread, so will be keeping those and only need 2 more. Much prefer the look of the squarer sidewall on the Bridgestones. They will go for a refurb and colour change soon... Very pleased with finding some of these as they don't come up very often!

Hello! Do you have some other side photos of the car with these facelift wheels please? Thx

This is the only other I took... They have already come off again ready to be sent for refurb. Was just a test fit for a few days to see if any problems with them. Will def. take some better ones once they are all finished

RC Design RC32 114.3/5 ET51 67.1 with Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 6 225/40 R18

Effectively one of the few that I liked that worked without having to go through an MOT (And yes, needs a full bath :p )

TEC Speedwheels GT6 8X19 ET50 Hyper-Black
The Autec AlphaSens (pre-programmed by Tunershop.de) TPMS Sensors worked flawlessly.
For TÜV:
The ABE mentions some cutting of the rear fenders, but a §21 is totally fine with no cutting.

Hey I have just bought an i30n 2022 and I'm think to change wheels to 18" from the stock 19" due to driving conditions in London. Is this a wise move in respect to performance? Looks wise it should be fine I think. I'm thinking of the 2 forge ZF8 in Matt black which are semi forged. I like the

WedsSport TC105X but not sure I can get them in UK. I'd love the

Rays Volk Racing CE28N but it's well over my price bracket. Any thoughts?

Here are 2 images of my trial fit of new Koya rims before having tyres mounted.
The rims are Koya SF13 / 18x8.5 / ET 45 / CB 67.1mm,, finished in "gloss bronze chrome". More info here https://www.koya.com.au/sf-series-sf13
The tyres will be Pirelli Pilot Sport 5 in 235/40R18, scheduled to be mounted 2 days from now, and the car is an MY25 i30N with stock suspension.
My reading on this forum and elsewhere indicated that my chosen rim and tyre choice should not protrude outside the guard/fender, nor have any rubbing issues. However, the outside edge of the rim is dangerously close to extending beyond the guard/fender.
Can anyone with experience of a similar rim and tyre spec offer comments please, as if I have to consider returning these rims, it must be done before mounting tyres.

I think the maximum possible offset (for the TÜV, with none/minimal poke) is that of the Autec Wizards, 19x8/ET45. Just search the forum for the Autec Wizards and you can see some pictures fitted.
Your wheels are 0.5 Inches wider, so extend roughly 5mm more outside than the Autec. This works similar to a x8/ET40 and for the TÜV at least depends on the inspector if they let you drive or not.

Rubbing shouldn't be an issue and you can still pull the fenders a bit if you really want those rims.

Here are some pics of my new rims, with tyres, mounted on the i30N
The rims are:
Koya SF13
18x8.5
ET 45
CB 67.1
8.8 kg rim weight
Finished in "gloss bronze chrome".
More info here https://www.koya.com.au/sf-series-sf13

The tyres fitted are Michelin Pilot Sport 5 in size 235/40R18.

The tyre outer-edges are within the guards, by a few mm's at the front.
Unfortunately the tyre and rim outer edges align, so there is no rim protection.
Suspension is standard height.

Hi all!

Need a little suggestion: need to substitute my original 19" rims (pre-fl) since they're quite bended. Looking at Motec MCR4 Ultimate, but undecided between 8x19 ET45 (which would be closer to the original 8x19 ET 55) and 8.5x19 ET45 (bit wider channel, would poke out a bit more).

AFAIK, the only difference should be how much the tyre sides are stretched, everything else should be identical.

Any ideas, suggestions, opinions?

Thanks everyone!

The 19x8 +45 won’t have any rubbing issues ,
The19x8.5+45 maybe rub if your lowered.
Also you may only be able to run a 235/35/19 tyre

Thanks!

Couldn't find the 19x8 anywhere, so ended up ordering the 8.5. Shouldn't be a problem, car is stock, and my Michelin are already 235/35/19, so...

Will post some photographs once they're mounted!
