Got my car Dyno tested and tuning box fitted at BlueSpark near Durham.
Had plenty of these done on my other cars over the years, Ed really knows his stuff. Before and after tests show power increase of around 35hp and 50 Newtons torque and you can absolutely feel the difference, it pulls much stronger in every gear.
Very easy to fit and only £175 absolute bargain. IMG_20240131_142835.jpg

I'm new to tuning boxes but I like the fact that you can easily remove the thing. I'm not into changing mine from stock but this looks like it could be a good option to stick my toe in to give it a little upgrade.

Any pics of where you have secured it would be helpful. :)

Not sure why but the pic I have taken won't upload. Anyway the box slots in perfectly between the battery and the air filter box, snug fit doesn't move around and very discreet in it's protective bag.

Has anybody installed/tried this? https://bluesparkautomotive.com/hyundai-i20-1-6-t-gdi-1598cc-204ps-265nm-petrol It is like 300€ cheaper than the other chip tunes available and from their video it gets 235hp, looks very interesting being 174£ ( 224£ for bluetooth) while racechip is 486 £ for the top spec

Hi mate this is indeed my car and it makes a massive difference, I've been using BlueSpark for years on several cars from BMW M140i to Mini JCW, the guy who runs it is called Ed and he really knows his stuff. The extra 35 bhp is fantastic in such a light car, it pulls stronger in every gear. Definitely recommend it 100 percent and for the price it's amazing value. Go for it💯👍
Ps.... I have a thread on this posted only a few weeks ago if you look

Thanks, do you have instructions on how to install it on our car? I checked and it's for a different car. Would help having actual pictures and instructions for our car

Sorry I don't know what you mean it's for a different car. It is really easy to fit, just 2 sensor connections both located near each other at the front of the engine. I can take some pics of mine to show you no problem, if you get in touch with Ed I'm sure he can give you more info than me. Give him a ring and mention mine that was done there just a few weeks ago. I'm the meantime I will sort you some pics out.

Yeah I would appreciate if you could. I meant on the website the instructions are for a different car, not the i20N. It says it's for a 1.6 but the layout is different

Ah OK I see what you mean, here are some pics for you of mine.
There are 2 connections, the MAP sensor (green) and the BOOST sensor (blue).
The tuning box has 2 cables, each one splits into 2.
You simply unplug the map sensor (one on the left side) and push in the green map connector from the tuning box, then the sensor you originally unplugged connects to the other part (piggy back).
Repeat for the Boost sensor ( one one the right side).
This is done with the ignition switched off for about 5 mins.
Then tidy the cables with cable ties neatly and position the tuning box (in its protective bag) between the battery and the filter box as I have ( see pic).
Wait another few mins after connecting the box then turn on ignition and start car making sure there are no ECU lights on display. Your now good to go.

so it's just those 2 sensors?

Yes bud, just the 2 at the front, dead easy to do honestly. I did a diagram for you but for some reason it won't let me upload it on here. I can always send you it by email or Instagram if you want no problem

Hello to all

As, some minutes ago, I ordered one Bluespark Tuning Box for my quite new i20N , could you inform me, how do you combine the original "drive modes" of the i20N (ECO, Normal, Sport and N) with the Bluespark Box and its available maps?

Thank you in advance

Your drive modes act in exactly the same way as before only now the car has the extra power in all modes.

Hello guys. I am interested in this bluespark tuning box. i got one question. Can you actually see the true turbo pressure?? Tuning box offers more hp, so it means more turbo pressure. I would like to know if you can check the real pressure and torque of course at my dasboard.

Thank you.

Hi, to be honest I have not checked so don't really know. I am assuming it will give you a live reading of whatever the car sees, but the tuning box increases the figures after the cars ECU so probably not the increased figures. I could be wrong though. It's not something that would bother me anyway tbh as I love the extra oomph it gives you in all gears.
You could always give Ed a ring or send him an email at BlueSpark he will know the answer.

Just wondering if you got the BlueSpark fitted yet buddy?

The Bluespark Tuning Box is in my happy hands NOW!...
So, I hope, that up to the end of this day it will be connected to my "baby"!!!

Cool let me know if you have any problems connecting it to the 2 sensors map and boost. It's really easy though. The hardest bit is pulling apart the connecters, you need to push the grey tab to one side then push down on the end of the tab and it should then pull apart. Let us know what you think when you get it on and drive it. I felt the difference straight away in how it pulls, especially above 3000 revs in full N Mode.
