Has anyone changed the front brake calipers for larger ones - 4 pot Brembo for example?

Yea its been done.
I have a kit on the way to go to the 4 pot brembos. You need a special made adapter for the calipers though, and youll need aftermarket wheels or spacers.

Alot of the main companies wont be developing a bbk due to them not fitting behind the standard wheels without spacing

You have to wonder if its not commercially available then there must be no significant demand therefore its probably not required for anything other than extreme track use.

Not for the i20N this is for the i30N but its still worth the watch as to why you really don't need to play with the brakes other than possibly pads for street use. If you keep your setup running "As new" then no need to fiddle with it.

The following is well worth the watch from start to finish.

I’m in contact with a company that makes the required adaptors and spacers and can supply the whole lot, it will also work with the stock wheels (15mm spacers supplied).

Well I’ve ordered the brakes - it’s mostly Brembo - callipers, disks (slotted) and pads. Also includes braided lines, custom mounting brackets and 15mm spacers. Can be used with the standard wheels.

Have you installed them? Any feedback? Looking to upgrade my pads and maybe brake kit.

They are being fitted next Wednesday along with upgraded lower toque mount bushings and RPM wishbone stiffening plates. Telling you how they perform won’t tell you much about upgrading the pads though as these are four pot callipers, different disks, braided lines and upgraded (Motul 600) brake fluid, as well as the pads.

Hello! Where did you get the big brake kit? They look fantastic!

Also, the perfect fitment for no rolled fenders is a 53 offset (for 8"wide wheels) or 14.7mm more than original size, thats why all 15mm spacers poke out of the wheel arches.

Gretings.

Hi, the kit is from a Polish company called Machined Performance. Everything supplied is brand new but I think the callipers are the same Brembo ones fitted to the Renault Megane Sport. The kit consists of Brembo four pot front callipers, grooved front disks, custom adaptor plates, wheels spacers, front and back, braided brake lines, front and back and Brembo brake pads. I think that’s it - you have to provide the brake fluid.

The tyres probably wouldn’t show outside the arch at all if they weren’t 225 width.

Have you driven with the Brembos yet? If so, I hope you like them as much as I do?

Yes i did.
Oh, I’ve ordered those same wheels - OZ Ultraleggera in matte black 👍😎

what offset did you go for and do they clear your brakes without spacers? How close to the outside of your arches do the tyres sit?

8x18 ET 48. You dont need a spacer for bbk.

Ha, again, that’s exactly what I’ve ordered 😁🤙, same size and ET! Can’t wait for them to arrive 🥰. Not the cheapest option, but nice.
