Zunsport lower grille

Hi all, i was concerned by how unprotected the intercooler is down low to the road so i wanted to add some sort of mesh or grille and stumbled upon Zunsport's Grille and while its a little on the pricey side its turned out to be high quality and a perfect fit. Took only a minute if that to fit it and i like the look and have more peace of mind from road debris.... now to find something for the radiator. (Video of fitment by them for those interested

Hi,
The screwa are self tapping into the plastic.
Well.
From time to time you should get the grill off to clean up little parts from behind.
I would do so.
But: how often it is possible before the plastic thread gets worned out and it's dmaaged ??

Yes if course violence isn't good there.
Do you know how thick in mm the plastic is in the area where the screws go in?
Is the screw sticking out on the other side?
Is it possible to reach the backside?

I'm thinking about drilling a hole and put on a metric screw with self securing nut from behind if you can get there by hand

I’ve got the Zunsport grille and it does work very well. When I change out my Intercooler for a Wagner one there was hardly a mark on the lower section that the grille covers .

Its pretty thin, can reach behind with the undertray off so yes could put a nut or something behind

Hi,

I installed mine today.
For a piece of stainless steel not cheap but very nice quality and good fitment.

I cleaned the Intercooler before and then I used a normal screwdriver to get the screws into the plastic.

I like the new look more than the oem loom and I am very happy with it

Paying for the R&D to get the fitment, shape etc so its not that bad really

I’ve had mine fitted for a couple of years and yesterday I removed it so I could get behind it - everything looked like the day I fitted it.

Just placed an order for one of these! Quick question for anyone that has it already fitted -- does it feel securely mounted with just the 2 mount points? Have a track day coming up and wouldn't want this flying off

Yes, it’s fine. Mine has been on for some 2.5 years and I’ve had zero problems.

quick question @YNWaN, what did you use to tape over the 'zunsport' badge on the lower grille? kinda dislike their logo placement and wanted to cleanly hide it. I guess some black tape might suffice but just curious on what you've placed on yours

I used an off cut of some gloss black vinyl I had left over from another project. You might be able to buy a small piece on eBay.

i love it, but i dont like the ZunSport logo in it, so i designed for myself a 3Dprinted N logo badge an doublesided tape i intalled it. look mutch better.
