Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some advice on engine oil for my 2018 Hyundai i30N pre-facelift (non-GPF) with 90,000 km.

I've been using Motul 8100 X-clean+ 5W-30, but I'm also considering Liqui Moly Top Tec 4200 5W-30. I mainly use the car for daily driving with some spirited mountain driving, and I change the oil every 5,000 km.

Which oil would you recommend for the pre-facelift i30N? Would you stick with Motul, switch to Liqui Moly, or recommend something else? I'd appreciate hearing your experiences. Thanks!

I doesn't matter which brand you will use. It never matter and it will never matter. Oil brands discussions are backyard, beard scratching, 'professors' time waste.

Both oils you mentioned are at 5w30 and both are ACEA C3.
As long as you do oil replacement and service at the recommended mileage or time (which ever comes first), the oil brand is the very last thing you should be concerned with.
