Hello N-ler,
I noticed this morning that some paint has flaked off on the wheel arch. That is, I saw the slightly protruding piece of paint, touched it and it fell off.
Before my vacation (3 weeks ago), when I checked the car again, I did not notice it. I have the assumption that this happened during the 1800 kilometers of vacation driving at high speeds. The chipped area is exactly where the two components meet and I suspect the pressure or friction at that point caused it.
The component or the whole car were profiesionell ceramic sealed in April and when I checked the car there thoroughly, I could not detect any incipient damage here.
I have the big inspection in the next few weeks and have to go to the garage anyway. I will have it checked there. As a precaution, I have already informed the dealer and told him the same thing.
But now I have a few questions in advance.
Can this place rust or is this a problem / damage that can be ignored?
Does the paint warranty cover such damage and if so, will the part be completely replaced or just repainted?
If the part needs to be repaired, who will cover the cost of reapplying the ceramic sealant to the part(s)?
To me, the spot also on the opposite side) has always looked a bit unsightly from the paint. Do you have the same?
Sorry for the pictures, but with smartphone in the wheel arch class photos shoot is difficult.
Thanks for your feedback.
Greetings Mo
