Finally got around to swapping my tranny fluid over to Redline. As you can see the magnet did it’s job quite well and there was a nice metallic sheen to the factory fluid even though it was relatively clear. I only put about 10miles on her since the swap but can already feel a difference.

Tried wrapping my front grill using a kit sold by finest folia in Germany.

Spolier alert: it's absolute toss!

Luckily I had a backup plan! Spare grill and spray can.



Front bumper being fixed end of next week.

Waiting for my russian snorkel then front of car will be getting a mild makeover when bumper removed from car:
Lower bumper wrapped gloss black
Gloss black grill.
Fit the snorkel once received.
New intercooler grill piece to replace damaged one.

But now I see airtec have just released a new intercooler that's much cheaper than Forge/Wagner etc. Hmmmm.......

I really don't know about the i30N but with the VN, we can reset the service reminder thru the users menu and also thru BlueLink.

I don't believe you have access to BlueLink but the service interval should be available in the users menu between the gauge cluster utilizing the menu button on the righthand of the steering wheel. Wish I could be of more assistance.

actually you are right. I think there is a setting for service intervals. it completely slipped my mind

Not today, but over the last week I installed a snow performance stage 1 WMI kit. It's hanging off the driver side frame rail. I think the guys at bad obsession motorsports would be proud of my bracketry:

Also swapped out ECUs to the spare with the sxth ecu tune and so far I am in love.

Nearly a perfect spot for it. Neat and well placed, excellent job! Now, make an access port for refill and Bob's your uncle. Unless, of course you've already done so.

Provide them with diagrams and photos of the bracketry, they may make a specific kit out of it. it's to their advantage to produce it in this manner and market it.

Thought about doing an access port but I wanted/needed to keep this as inconspicuous as possible. The top of the tank can be reached by hand (provided you don't have giant arms) and a long funnel is the way to fill it.

Definitely looking into selling this, but the bracket for the tank took some welding and not sure if the price that people would pay for these would be worth the effort, since they're just "simple brackets." I was mainly making a project binky (youtube it!) joke about the brackets, those guys love their brackets.

If you're wanting to keep it hidden, a piece of black plastic cut to size similar to that used for the under pan, with four holes and push fasteners will work well and look factory.

I just added door and side mirror decals. Turned out pretty nice in my opinion...

Gave the N a clean and fitted led bulbs :- rear indicators, number plate, reverse and boot.

Took advantage of gorgeous sunny, sub-20 degree morning weather and blew out some cobwebs. Filled up with dirt-cheap 98 (thanks Coronavirus ) at the airport and then punched it into town for some breakfast supplies, aircon off and windows down.

Roads nearly deserted with everyone hitting the national parks and camping this glorious weekend. Great skirmish with an Audi S4 on the way home, fantastic start to the day
