So many guys had so many fast cars here. In Belgium everybody seems to drive a rather boring BMW/Audi/Merc. This forum is full of former Supra, Type R, GTI, M, ... owners.

in the UK, you can really benefit for the Japanese import market. In Europe we really miss out on this due the the LHD issue.

When I lived in the UK I imported a Legacy GTB twin turbo from Japan (probably my favorite car I ever owned) and I know quite a few people who imported similar cars. And there are so many great back street garages who specialise in performance/imported cars and tuning.

Over here in Europe everyone just buys either German or cheap, there there are even laws in many countries that stop you from modifying your car .

Don't be so surprised, any kind of performance tuning is forbidden in Belgium as well. Maybe an high performance air filter is allowed.

The list:

Mazda 626
Mitsubishi Magna
Modified Nissan R34 Skyline GT-T

and next week:

i30N Performance! :D

I know some people that drive JDM imports here on the streets. It's not illegal it's just a minor inconvenience if you really like jdm cars.

Yes, I drove a RHD car in Europe for a couple of years, it's ok on the highway, but a real pain on small roads when you need to overtake.

Ford Fiesta 1.2 (2002 model)
Ford Fiesta ST (2008 model)
Ford Focus RS MK2 - love this car going to miss it.

and the i30N being the next in the list and first non Ford car I will have owned !

I have always liked cars very much, but got my license relatively late at about 26 years (2016) as previously I did not have the need or the finances to have a car.
Since then I still dont have the "need" but I got the "want" and the finances.

My first car was a 2006 Alfa Romeo GT 1.9 jtdm. Everyone around me was advising me not to buy an Alfa as they are unreliable at what not.
Well, for two years and 30000 kilometers, I have spent about only 400 euro on repairs (and a shit ton more for modifications...). Very reliable car with great driving dynamics for what it is. Sadly I will be lucky to get 2.5k for the car now because of the bad rep and depreciation.

My second car, obviously will be the i30 N. Hopefully the one after it - and Alfa Romeo Giulia QV :)
