I have mostly driven the family's old beaten up 1.3 Toyota Yaris...never really had anything better tbh!

At this point it's pretty much the car version of rags to riches, which probably explains why I'm so bloody excited! Haha

I'll never sell the old Yaris though... That old girl has seriously looked after me through the years; the bond is strong!

Damn, my first car was a 2002 3-door Yaris and my sis and I drove it into the ground. Got 500 quid for it as a trade in for my current 2013 GT86 in 2013. Now I'm looking to replace that one with a i30N soonish...

Wow, GT86 to i30N. Those are very different cars. Did you have any performance mods on the GT86?

Well I still have it and daily it. Guess I'm growing tired of coupés... No performance mods, just nice (and wider) wheels and a new set of lowering springs.
Actually I still have to test drive the N though I'm confident it'll meet my expectations.

I was actually really interested in the BRZ when it first came out, always hoped that they'd do a proper turbo version, but it never happened.

I guess that puts you with the other 50% of FT86 owners! ;) There are plenty of aftermarket turbo and supercharger kits available but I don't see the point. There are a few "upgraded" versions of the cars around, but they only upgrade suspension and brakes, never the engine! o_O How's the turbo lag on the N?

1) 2002 BMW 320i E46 2.2 R6 125kw - Black Sapphire
2) 2007 Mini Cooper S R56 1.6 R4 128kw - Red
3) 1993 BMW 316i Estate E30 3.5 R6 160kw swap - Matt Black (Had this one for a short period, just for fun, welded diff...)
4) 2011 VW Tiguan 1.4 R4 90kw - White

1. Smart 1.0, 62kW, 2008
2. Smart 1.0 Cabrio, 62kW, 2011
3. Mazda MX-5 ND, 96kW, 2016
4. Hyundai i30N, 202kW, 2017

#1 and #2 were quite cheap and due to the horrible parking situation in Stuttgart the best solution for that time...
#3 was pure fun. Probably the same weight as the smart, n/a, peak performance at 7000 rpm, roadster, best fuel efficiency (I easily reached up to 45 mpg on a highway cruise). Unfortunately a grumpy old dude mixed up the pedals in his Cayenne at a red light and crashed into my MX-5 and a few other cars as well...
#4 well, what can I say...

I'm likely to go from 3 to 4 also

3 just sold, 4 (probably) on it's way

The MX-5 indeed was good, very good, but wanted something else ....
