I have had my FL i30N car from new in 21, and its been OK in the winter conditions with the original Pirelli tyres. However, after being very cautious when visiting the Rally Stages in bad weahter this winter. I am consdidering some wheels and tyres for next winter. Does anyone have any OEM recomendations that they have fittted/ used? I would like some replacements that have the tyre pressure indicators while the original wheels and tyres will go in the garage over winter. I have had a quick Net seearch, but am not sure if 19 inch are the way to go, or if I go to 18 inch with bigger sidewalls. To help , I am not a racer, and think I am gentle on my tyres, my original P Tyres are still pretty good after 16k . Obviously in this day and age, price will be a big deciding factor.

Thanks In advance

18 inch wheels are best. I chose a set of Hyundai Kona eighteens, which are 7.5J ET50. They clear the brake calipers and came with Hyundai tyre pressure monitors in, which the car recognised within the first few yards, so no problems. Tyres are 225/40 ZR18 Kumho Wintercraft. I have used winter tyres on my cars for many years, and genuinely believe that the Kumhos are better than Michelin Alpin and Pirelli Sottozero. The Kona wheels I went for are the grey and diamond-cut criss-cross pattern, with five Y-shaped 'spokes' in silver and five in grey. My car is grey - it's a 2020 gen 1 car - so they look great.

In summary:
Standard i30N summer wheels: 8J x 19 ET 55
Kona 18s used as winter wheels: 7.5J x 18 ET 50
Kumho Wintercraft 225/40 ZR18

Incidentally, I use Conti SportContact 7 summer tyres, which are the best I've found.

I suppose my worry is that 18 inch may not clear the bigger fornt discs on the FL version. But I appreciate the reply, and advice thanks
