Figured I’d make a Plug thread since no I’ve seen sporadic info pertaining to them spread all throughout. Feel free to post what plugs you’re running, experiences with them so far, what tune you’re running, present and past experiences and what you have them gapped to etc.
 
NGK R2556G-9 (0.024”) work fine with JB4 custom (mode6) config running max. boost in the 20-20.5 PSI range.

They aren’t much pricier than the HKS plugs, from what I’ve found.

Would running these gapped at .024 work well for all settings on jb4 ? Or just when running a custom map ?
 
Anybody ordered their plugs directly from NGK ? I was going to order them from nengun until I saw they only ship 6 days after payment.. and price wise they’re very similar 248FA770-64EC-41CC-8886-BA118C85ABB6.jpeg
 
Nengun doesn't seem to stock. Took them around a week to get my plugs from HKS and then they shipped out. Got it in 3 days after they shipped.

Yeah that’s why I figured it would be better to buy them directly from the source. I’m not trying to wait around for 10days for something I can most likely get in a week from the manufacturer
 
I’ve bought from a Japanese eBay seller and Nengun. Others have bought from JDM Planet and recently NAPA and sparkplugs.com. All legit, but sp.c will get them in your hands the quickest.

I run HKS M45XL with 0.024 gap. I have a remap for 319ps and it works just perfect. Had them in with 0.027gap at first and it did not work at all. Now i have done 5000km from Sweden to Austria and now germany on my way home. The car preformes perfect in slow driving and in autobahn speeds. In Sweden i payed 95eur for 4 sparkplugs.

I suppose it all depends where you are located as well. Nengun was the best for Canadian $$. It was $125 CAD shipped total. I was tempted with the NGK but just the way the tip looked, I didn't want to damage it when re-gapping.
Anywhere else was ridiculous for shipping or price and had the risk of tax or import duty.
 
I ended up ordering the NGK’s from sparkplug.com. It ended up coming out to 119$ including shipping.
 
what plugs can I get that will work perfectly with JB4 map6, and not hurt fuel economy?
or is it the change in gap from stock that hurts the economy?
