RPM Exhaust for I20N

I recently had an RPM Performance exhaust fitted to my i20N. This is the Australian model. The over pipe with the primary catalytic converter was untouched but it has the 3" flex pipe and the complete exhaust from there back, the version with the 2 tailpipes and one of them valved.

It certainly feels like it has more power and is keener to rev at the top end which is great. My problem with it is that it's just too loud, even with the valve fully closed which is how I have it in the N custom mode I always drive in. The rolled SS tips are beautiful and the slightly smaller ID they have allowed me to securely baffle the side that's not valved. I used a some perforated SS 55mm dia tube wrapped at each end with exhaust tape which I slipped into the 3" pipe from the muffler and then slipped the tip over the outer end and clamped it back in place. That made a big difference and it sounds good while being civilised but when I open the valve, even to the partial opening, it's just too loud.

Baffling that tip and having the valve closed has made no difference to the performance gain but over 5,000rpm it sounds as if the valve might be opening on its own?

I contacted RPM and asked them if they could make me a GPF delete pipe[here it deletes a second cat] with a resonator fitted but they declined to help saying they have no way to make one, yet they made the rear muffler.

I'm going to buy a 3" Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator 1142 and have it fitted to hopefully cure the problem and allow me to use the 3 modes as intended. It's just too long to get into that delete pipe because it would just hit the cross brace so i'm going to have to get the rear flange joint cut out to get it in. There's no room after that because the pipe runs too close to the side.

If anyone has come up with a better solution please let me know? Also if anyone knows where to source one of those Vibrant resonators at a decent price I would appreciate that because most places are out of stock here in Oz.
