Hello, I need some advice as to how to replace the positive battery terminal on my 2019 MY I30N due to a friend breaking the terminal whilst tightening the terminal after a battery replacement.
The thing I'm worried about is damaging the battery sensor (That's what I've been told it's called) that runs underneath the terminal. Also how is the black plastic cover with the lid that protects the positive terminal held together as I've seen very similar covers on Fiat vans I think it was that have a cable tie which holds the cover together but I can't see a cable tie on this cover. Any advice would be greatly received from a Hyundai technician or anyone who has replaced the positive battery terminal because I don't want to damage the protective cover or the thin wire on the battery sensor. For anyone who wants to know the cost of the genuine Hyundai OEM positive battery terminal it was £56.09 and that is inclusive of V.A.T in the UK. Thanks in advance. Paul.
