Suspension and Chassis Reinforced pinch weld damage

I wanted to rotate my tires when I noticed that one of the reinforced pinch welds is bent. Looks like damage done by jack. Any idea how bad it is? Any actions I should take to get it fixed? Thanks in advance!
Sorry about rather low quality picture, but it's quite tricky to get it on camera without getting under the car.

Not bad, secure it with a proper underbody spray. Not bitumen based, a polyurethane based one, like the OEM stuff.

Material is very thin and weak from stock.

Never jack the Hyundai on one side only. Always parallel from both sides, so it is less stress for the material.

So no real need to get it bend back into place? I was sort of wondering what type of shop would even do that kind of work and whether it wouldn't bend again easily.
 
Nearly most shops, there are a lot of cars which need real serious accuracy when lifting or jacking the car. Otherwise jacking spots or side skirts or both got damaged.
 
I never use those "reinforced" places. Most of the time there is some kind of chassis, brace or suspension component that will hold the car more easily.
 
In case of a real lift, you can use the jack points of course. I do it twice a year so.
But with Jack not that good.

I think with a proper hydraulic jack with big pad we can get under front and rear subframe or has anybody bad experience with that method also?

And in case of immergency on the road we have to use two small screwing jacks from both sides -.-

Yes I saw someone mention lifting it near lower torque mount then bringing it down on jack stands using pinch welds. That part seems robust, but I am still somewhat hesitant to use it, it also requires going really deep under the car, so some low profile or really long jack might be needed.
 
Official jack points are totally useless on this car. Worst I've seen. I bent one while rotating tires and my tire shop took care of the other one last month. There is no point bending them back, the sheets dont align anyway so if you bend it back only one sheet will hit the jack again. Leaving it bent could even be better.

My plan is to zinc coat any exposed metal for corrosion protection and cover the area with high quality, tough automotive polyurethane sealant/adhesive and hope for the best.

Right now mine are covered in aluminum tape to protect them from any splashes from the road as a temporary measure.

Have you heard a pop when jacking? I might have popped a spot weld on mine.

Just some creaking, but I did not pay much attention to that, thought it was just suspension. I will probably do the same as you and just coat it with some zinc spray and call it a day, I don't drive the car too much in the winter anyway so it should be enough.
